ABSTRACT
(National Institute of Health).

It showed that the state of experimental animal ethics cognition among medical students in Xiangya School of Medicine of CSU had improved significantly in recent 10 years, but the cognition of experimental animal ethics knowledge was higher than the actual behavior of caring for experimental animals, and there was the phenomenon of "separation of knowledge and action". The ethics education of experimental animals needs to pay more attention to the development of students’ behavior of caring for experimental animals.
ABSTRACT
As the basic carrier and key condition for research in the fields of life science, medicine and pharmacy, laboratory animals have played an extremely important role in the development of modern science.Animal welfare ethics is built on the moral foundation of human civilization and is a product of social and economic development to a certain stage. From a scientific point of view, treating animals well is both a humanitarian need and a need for scientific experiments. This paper elaborates the role and significance of laboratory animal welfare from the aspects of the development of laboratory animal welfare ethics and the content of regulations and policies, whether and how to establish a memorial day and monument for laboratory animals, and calls on experimental personnel to follow the"3R"principle and enhance their sense of responsibility and awareness of norms.
ABSTRACT
Improving the reproducibility of biomedical research results is a major challenge.Researchers reporting their research process transparently and accurately can help readers evaluate the reliability of the research results and further explore the experiment by repeating it or building upon its findings. The ARRIVE 2.0 guidelines, released in 2019 by the UK National Centre for the Replacement, Refinement and Reduction of Animals in Research (NC3Rs), provide a checklist applicable to any in vivo animal research report. These guidelines aim to improve the standardization of experimental design, implementation, and reporting, as well as the reliability, repeatability, and clinical translatability of animal experimental results. The use of ARRIVE 2.0 guidelines not only enriches the details of animal experimental research reports, ensuring that information on animal experimental results is fully evaluated and utilized, but also enables readers to understand the content expressed by the author accurately and clearly, promoting the transparency and integrity of the fundamental research review process. At present, the ARRIVE 2.0 guidelines have been widely adopted by international biomedical journals. This article is a Chinese translation based on the best practices of international journals following the ARRIVE 2.0 guidelines in international journals, specifically for the complete interpretation of the ARRIVE 2.0 guidelines published in the PLoS Biology journal in 2020 (original text can be found at https://arriveguidelines.org). The third part of the article includes the items 8-10 of ARRIVE 2.0 Essential 10, which covers "experimental animals" "experimental procedures" and "results". Its aim is to promote the full understanding and use of the ARRIVE 2.0 guidelines by domestic researchers, enhance the standardization of experimental animal research and reporting, and promote the high-quality development of experimental animal technology and comparative medicine research in China.

ABSTRACT
Genetic quality control of experimental animals used in laboratory animal centers must be priority, to ensure that studies have reproducibility and also scientific validity. This research aimed to evaluate the genetic purity of the Wistar Kyoto rats at bioterio of the Faculty of Chemistry Sciences and Pharmacy at the University of San Carlos of Guatemala, "Dr. Amarillis Saravia Gómez", which never had been genetically characterized. The D1Mgh6 and D17Mit3 microsatellites were analyzed because they have a high grade of polymorphism and allows to have a general vision of genetic characteristicsof the strain, the analysis was performed by the polymerase chain reaction technique (PCR). The results of the genetic analysis showed that the colony of Wistar Kyoto rats corresponds to the estimated size for the microsatellite D17Mit3 (201 bp) as the genomic database rat and reported by Charles River Laboratories and the NIH. However, It doesn't correspond to the estimated size of the microsatellite D1Mgh6 (147 bp). The WKY strain has been manage with an inbreeding method, that was confirmed by the results because D17Mit3 and D1Mg6 showed an homogenic and homoallelic condition, so these experimental animals can be used in trials as a inbreed model, because do not have the genetic characteristics expected for the WKY breed.

ABSTRACT
Postmodern advances in science and biotechnology have raised new paradigms in relation to bioethics. The bioethical implications of the use of animals in research are discussed in this review. Nürnberg Code, Helsinki´s Declarations and Norms of the Council for International Organizations of Medical Sciences supply international ethical guidelines for research involving human subjects. These regulations provide some aspects related to the use of experimental animals but rise some dilemmas such as the benefit to humans, the potential harm to the animal, and not obstructing the research. For this reason, it is important the creation of an Animal Care and Use Committee in each research institution, especially in the faculties of health science, which will be responsible for designing and advising bioethics codes implementations that provide guidelines for the use of laboratory animals in accordance with international standards and the particularities of the research rules of each country.
