ABSTRACT
AВSTRАСT The sciences and disciplines are increasingly distanced, and the humanities are no exception, they distance themselves from each other and the other sciences (natural, exact, complex, etc.), as they are usually scientifically delegitimized, which restricts their growth, scope, and sociocultural impact. Hence the purpose of exploring what divides distorts, and undervalues them, using the information analysis method, supporting the documentary examination of the scientific hylorealism of Bunge and the complex thought of Morin and finding that the causes may be due mainly to disjunctions, reductionisms, and anarchisms coming from irrationalist, subjectivist, and anti-scientific philosophies via postmodernism, carrying out mainly epistemological underminings in the academic-research system. Concluding in the need for humanists to resignify the humanities in a notable way to take greater advantage of their resources and potential, upholding to the hilt the principles of the Enlightenment against contemporary obscurantism; suggesting a complex vision, an underlying scientific philosophy and critical thinking.

ABSTRACT: The primary focus of this article was to elucidate the theoretical and methodological underpinnings of a unique and innovative pedagogical endeavor undertaken at the Faculdade de Medicina of Universidade Federal da Bahia, Brazil, within the realm of 'medical humanities.' This is the domain of 'Art and Health,' introduced in 2016, where our aim was to devise a teaching approach that delves into and deliberates, in the context of medical practice, on issues pertaining to corporeality, gender, and health care. From this standpoint, we endeavored to harness the transformative power of art as a means of questioning a set of assumptions, principles, and values that underlie social interactions typically observed in therapeutic encounters. This article specifically delves into one module of this course: a module that employs instances of artistic performances to contemplate the physical aspect of human existence (corporeality) and the realm of everyday life.

In Can Xue’s novel Barefoot Doctor,a group of barefoot doctors and their medical environment are constructed, which is different from the historical reality. It is a romantic projection of this profession under new orientalism and the imagination and depiction of ideal medical practices. In this world, barefoot doctor is an attractive profession that coexists harmoniously with patients and the environment,co-creating a beautiful and meaningful life. The novel mirrors Can Xue’s view of nature. Analyzing the novel by the narrative medicine framework proposed by the Peking University narrative medicine team, it is found that the philosophy and the ways of doctoring of the barefoot doctors in the novel reveal a naturalist view of medicine, which is also the embodiment of the ideals of the medical humanities.
ABSTRACT
At present, there are some shortcomings in China’s medical humanities education, such as inadequate adaptation to the needs of the development of philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics, and insufficient early warning of crises brought about by emerging medical technologies. The concept of “a community of common health for mankind” had been established in the appearance context of medical humanities education, which also gave medical humanities education a richer contemporary significance and development opportunities. Taking the courses of medical ethics and health law as examples, the concept of “a community of common health for mankind” fits well with the core of medical humanities education in terms of value significance, logical mechanisms, and content elements, which is more conducive to highlighting the localized results of medical humanities research. Therefore, the existing theoretical frameworks should be integrated with the concept of “a community of common health for mankind”, to create a medical humanities education system with Chinese characteristics and universal significance, as well as to enhance the quality and effects of humanities education by integrating the disciplinary systems, education modes, education chains, and other paths.

Medical humanities education was the common focus of the social application of medical humanities in China.
ABSTRACT
It is a new requirement of the new era that medical humanities courses and ideological and political courses should go together with each other. There is an inherent logic in the collaborative education of the two courses, which has the consistency of ideas, the commonality of goals, the intersection of contents and the mutual learning of methods. In practice, it is necessary to combine education with talent, theory with practice, indoctrination with penetration, online with offline, so as to improve the effectiveness of collaborative education between medical humanities courses and ideological and political courses.

ABSTRACT
This article introduces American development process of quality-oriented education in colleges and universities which symbolizes practical teaching theory, and analyzes the reason that it is hard for colleges and universities to develop medical talents with strong humanistic quality and innovative ability. This article points out that medical colleges and universities need to make systematic standard and plan for quality-oriented education of practical teaching. The role of teachers is converting from single disseminator of theory knowledge to the instructor, organizer and participant of study. Meanwhile, the information technology should be embedded in practical teaching, which has profound effects on quality-oriented education development of medical students.

This essay analyzes the conflicts and potential of social sciences and humanities in health (SSHH) in the field of public health and the challenges of acting in an interdisciplinary area. We present some of the particularities of SSHH, dialoguing with internal tensions and then go on to problematize qualitative methodologies and their use in public health research, maintaining a dialogue with the other areas. Finally, we reflect upon the outlook for SSHH and possible theoretical and methodological pathways that would broaden the cross-cutting nature of the area. Rethinking relations between areas prompts reflection on a possible and timely reconfiguration of public health. The challenges give rise to the need to rethink the notion of SSHH, question the language we are constructing, and ask what we can do.(AU)

ABSTRACT
Abstract: Introduction: The pandemic revealed the impact of class, race and gender determinations on health-disease-care processes, as it had a far more dramatic effect on the poor city outskirts and especially black and indigenous communities. Furthermore, it highlighted and amplified a negationist attitude towards scientific knowledge. At the same time, it has made biomedical sciences the sole deposit of our hopes, despite the fact that the literature is overwhelming about the essential role of the Social and Human Sciences (SHS). Case report: In this paper, we propose to describe the teaching experience in SHS disciplines at a medical school throughout the year 2020, emphasizing the impacts produced by Covid-19. Discussion: One objective of the article is to present how these discussions were approached in the disciplines and their challenges and potential. Another is to present the pedagogical menus and matrices used in these disciplines and address the changes and mishaps caused by the need to, firstly, "be in the classroom" in the context of the biggest health crisis of the last one hundred years, and secondly, adapt to the upheaval of the separation between the worlds of work and the home and living with pandemic feelings of fear, mourning and discouragement that affected teachers and students. Conclusions: The pandemic brought students and teachers closer to the reality of themes that are within the scope of the SHS, such as the discussion on the social determination of the health-disease-care process and the reflection on whom is served by both science and ideology of the obscurantism that denies it. In the experience reported, we used the current nature of these debates to bring us closer to the students' reality, in a context in which social isolation and distance learning made relationships more frayed.

Abstract The article initially presents an increasingly significant move of discussions about the Anthropocene towards humanities and social sciences. Then, taking as a starting point the proposal that these fields could contribute to the understanding of the "consequential meta-level" of studies on the Anthropocene, it discusses how some works produced in humanities and social sciences have dealt with the relationship between causes, effects and consequences regarding the new planetary regime, with a special focus on the debate about the "technosphere." It concludes by indicating the potential of the "ontological turn" to expand the explanatory and communicative horizons of historiography.
