ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the role of static posturography in the assessment of fatigue due to flight tasks. Methods:Thirtymale college students were asked to perform simulated flight tasks consecutively forfour hours.Meanwhile their statie posturography and tasks performance would be repeatedly measured during the task-load at end of every hour.Based on the changed significantly parameters, the static balance index would be built by principle component analysis. Then its correlation with task-load level would be further analyzed by curve estimation. Results:Static postural control declined significantly under effect of simulated flight tasks. With task load sustaining, static balance index increased significantly and correlated linearly with duration of task load (R2=0.949).Besides,there was quadratic relationship between the change of multi-tasks performance and duration of task load (R2=0.968).And correlation of multi-tasks performance with static standing balance level also had been proved to be quadratic (R2=0.976).Conclusions:Static posturography correlated linearly with flight task-load level, which could reflect fatigue level caused by task load.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyse the efficiency of postural control after 24h sleep deprivation. Methods To observe the change of the static posturography of 16 healthy male after 24h sleep deprivation. Results After 24h sleep deprivation,in both eyes-open condition, whole path length(0h:564.40±42.07,24h:535.23±33.28),unit-path-length(0h:6.96±3.20,24h:5.49±2.65),deflection average center displacement X (0h:7.01±2.79,24h:5.06±3.73)significantly decreased, but standard deviation Y(0h:3.17±0.83,24h:3.98±1.34)significantly increased. In both eyes-closed condition, whole path length(0h:645.70±80.05,24h:587.27±64.87)significantly decreased. Conclusion After 24h sleep deprivation, there are less spontaneous movements of body and lower efficiency of postural control.

ABSTRACT

@#ObjectiveTo explore the normal limits and influential factors of the static balance function of normal adults.Methods445 healthy volunteers (16~74 years old, 205 of male and 240 of female) were detected by static posturography while they were respectively in seat, double feet standing with eyes opened and closed, and single foot standing only with eyes opened. The normal reference value of all indicatrix were calculated.ResultsThe normal reference value of static balance function of normal adults, male, female and all age groups were calculated.ConclusionThe detection of static posturography can evaluate human balance function objectively, quantitatively and exactly. The determination of the normal limits of balance function will conduce to evaluate balance disturbance and diagnose correlated diseases.

ABSTRACT

@#Objective To study the balance function of normal persons and to explore the differences in gender and age groups. Methods Forty parameters of 445 normal persons(16-70 years old, 205 of male, 240 of female ) were detected by static posturography while they were in seat, double foot standing with opening and closing eyes, and single foot standing with opening eyes. The results of male and female, standing with opening eyes and closing eyes, left foot standing and right foot standing were compared. Results Everyone's center of gravity was distributed in A zone while they were in seat. At standing with opening eyes and closing eyes, the center of gravity in A zone were in 429 subjects( 96.4%) and 436 subjects( 98.0%). Most parameters showed significant difference between the women and the men, opening eyes and closing eyes, left foot standing and right foot standing, different age groups. The stability in closing eyes was better than that in opening eyes, right foot standing was better than left foot standing. Most values of 20—39 years old group were the best, 70—79 years old group were the worst. Conclusion Static posturography can evaluate human balance function objectively and quantitatively. The stability is related to age and gender. To judge the balance function, the subject's age and sex must be taken into account.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the range of the reference value of static posturography parameters in normal subjects. Methods Six hundred and eleven normal subjects were recruited. Static standing balance test of these subjects was performed by use of a computerized stabilometer with their eyes opened and closed, respectively, when their feet standing close and apart. Ten parameters were obtained. 95% confidence ranges were calculated using normal distribution methods, which were grouped by sex and age. Results Statistically significant differences of the 95% confidence ranges of equilibrium parameters were found among different sex and age groups, feet positions and eyes conditions, respectively. The value of the parameters of the male was higher than that of the female;the value of the equilibrium parameters was the lowest in the age group of 15~19 years, and the highest in 66~79 age group;and there were no significant differences among 20~35,36~50 and 51~65 age groups. The value of various parameters in standing with feet close was higher than that with feet apart. It was higher with eyes closed than that with eyes opened. Conclusion Sex,age, feet position and visual input affect balance function.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the effect factors and sensitive parameters in normal subjects with static posturography. Methods A computerized stabilometer was used to evaluate 588 normal subjects in the eyes closed condition. t test was used to analyze gender factors in every age group, canonical correlation analysis method to analyze the relative effect of age, body height and body mass factors and the static posturography parameter values. Results The parameter values between gender showed significant difference ( P
