ABSTRACT

@#Background: The focus of medical schools in developing countries is on fulfilling a quantity of faculty members. A faculty development model will help formulate programmes that accommodate faculty members’ needs as well as institutional demands. This study aims to formulate a faculty development model relevant for medical schools in developing countries, specifically Indonesia. Methods: This is a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach. It starts with a literature review using large databases, followed by interviews with 10 representative experts from medical schools in Indonesia. Results: Based on the 10 studies retrieved, several components of faculty development were identified as the basis for the model. Ten experts gave input for the model. Components of the model can be grouped into: (i) content, which is materials that need to be delivered; (ii) process components, which depict aspects related to the preparation, execution and evaluation of sustainable faculty development; and (iii) components in the educational system that affect faculty development implementation. Conclusion: A comprehensive review and development process has likely made this faculty development model suitable for medical schools in Indonesia. Breaking the model into components may help medical schools to prioritise certain aspects related to faculty development programmes.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze the process of clinical nursing operation assessment in a third-grade class-A hospital in China, and design the scoring system of clinical nursing operation examination (SSCNOE), and discuss its clinical application effect. Methods Through operation process analysis chart to analyze the flow of current clinical nursing operation assessment of shanxi provincial people's hospital to look for improvement priorities that can be optimized, and based on Microsoft Visual Basic technology and 15 commonly used clinical nursing operation, we developed SSCNOE. A total of 102 nurses were selected as subjects and were randomly divided into the experimental and control groups using random numbers. The experimental group accepted SSCNOE examination, while the control group received the traditional paper test. The differences in the examination time and examination cost between the two groups were compared. Results SSCNOE simplified the examination process of clinical nursing operation and saved a lot of manpower, material and financial resources. The time required to use SSCNOE was (202.13±24.69)min, shorter than the traditional assessment (347.67±6.51)min (t=12.99, P<0.01), and the overall cost was (948.13± 72.47)yuan, lower than the traditional test (1689.12 ± 126.72)yuan (t=13.56, P<0.01). Conclusion The research and application of SSCNOE can improve the efficiency of the assessment of nursing operation, save the cost of examination and improve the level of hospital nursing information construction.

ABSTRACT

Microlectures have great advantages in improving the enthusiasm of medical students in self -learning be-cause of its short period and brief content, breaking through the limitations of time and space and realizing the share of educational resources.WeChat, QQ, Weibo and other communication software make daily use of micro-course possible in the education. This paper presents the content design and development model of electronic medical mi -cro-course platform, providing a theoretical basis and a model reference for the construction of electronic platform.

ABSTRACT

The clinical pathway of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a medical management model learned abroad, is a kind of medical management model implemented in order to improve efficacy, reduce the economic burden on patients, and increase the utilization rate of medical resources. This article reviews the literature on the clinical path of TCM in recent years, outlines its development characteristics, research models, evaluation methods, management methods, and then analyzes its advantages and disadvantages in clinical implementation, and thus provides reference for future implementation.

ABSTRACT

The patients-oriented wisdom medical service system has gradually come into being with the arrival of big data time and the rapid development of medical technologies.Wisdom medical treatment is still at its initial stage in China. However, certain achievements have been made in some cities, and its development model has transited to the models of emerging medical information service, remote intervention, home service and HMO from traditional wisdom medical treatment cloud and medical treatment on Internet of Things. The standards and specifications, application of technologies, and cooperation in patients-oriented wisdom medical service system were described in this paper in order to further promote its development.

ABSTRACT

The innovation of Chinese materia medica (CMM) is the central driver of CMM modernization. The application of modern theories and techniques in life sciences to innovating CMM research remains to be an urgent issue to be solved. Currently, the international R&D for drug is stepping into a new trend, in which these transformations are going through a signal target to multiple drug combination and active constituents selection by pharmacodynamics to optimize the design with pharmacokinetics. In the face of changes, the pace of CMM R&D is slow. Based on the R&D content of system biology and Huangqin Decoction extract (PHY906), the "preceded pharmacokinetics" concept is introduced. Taking pharmacokinetics as the tool to rapidly screen the potential constituents with the aims at CMM R&D. Furthermore, why the "preceded pharmacokinetics" is needed and how to start the innovation model are preliminarily discussed in this paper.

ABSTRACT

Merging medical universities with comprehensive universities has become an important aspect of colleges’and universities’reform in China. However, after merging with a comprehensive university, some problems have happened: decreased management efficiency as a result of over-hierarchical administration, neglect of own features of medical faculties,as well as less than expected cooperation of medical and nonmedical subjects and so on.In this context, from the perspective of an independent medical university,a theoretical and practical model for developing multidisciplinary faculty was formulated and implemented in an academic medical university, including background analysis, feasibility, developing principles, integrating strategies,in the hope of providing some implications for other independent medical schools.
