ABSTRACT

A hemodynamic evaluation was conducted on thirty-one patients undergoing myocardial revascularization surgery with two different anesthetic techniques. Fifteen patients (Group A) received balanced general anesthesia while sixteen patients (Group B) received total intravenous anesthesia. In addition, patients in both groups received, during the anesthetic procedure, sodium, nitroprusside, Inoval and dopamine infusion. Except before ECC time when higher dosages of Inoval and dopamine were used on patients in group B, the amount of these drugs given during anesthesia was not significantly diferent between the two groups. Heart rate (HR), mean arterial pressure (MAP) central venous pressure (CP), and left atrium pressure (LAP) data were similar in both groups. ABSTRACT

Se proyectó un estudio prospectivo en el que se comparó la influencia de dos bloqueadores neuromusculares no depolarizantes de origen esteroideo (Vecuronio y Pancuronio), sobre la presión ocular, en una muestra constituída por sesenta niños. Secundariamente se estudió su repercusión hemodinámica, dosis promedio por Kg, de peso corporal y por hora, así como su tiempo de latencia y de acción. Se encontró que ambos relajantes musculares no influyen significativamente sobre la presión ocular. También se concluye que cuando se administran estos bloqueadores neuromusculares durante una anestesia analgésica a base de fentanyl, no modifican significativamente la frecuencia cardiaca y la tensión arterial. El efecto vagolítico del pancuronio es antagonizado por la propiead vagotónica del fentanyl. El tiempo de acción del vecuronio es significativamente más corto que el del pancuronio (p<0.05). Por esta razón el consumo horario del vecuronio es significativamente mayor que el del pancuronio (p>0.05). Los tiempos de latencia no tienen diferencias significativas (p<0.05). Se revisan los reportes del empleo de estos fármacos en niños, así como los que analizan su influencia sobre presión ocular y se contrastan con nuestros resultados

ABSTRACT

Intravenously administered oxytocin caused a dose-related fall in blood pressure of the rabbit. When oxytocin was administered in oestrogen-primed animals, the depressor response was converted to a pressor one "Oxytocin reversal". The "oxytocin reversal." was abolished after treatment with dihydroergotamine, hexamethonium or adrenalectomy. The "oxytocin reversal" did not appear in reserpinized animals.
