ABSTRACT
The compounds from the root of Rhododendron molle G. Don were isolated, purified by various chromatographic techniques, and their structures were identified according to the physical and chemical features and spectral data. Three compounds were separated from the root of Rhododendron molle G. Don and identified as Rhodojaponin-III, taraxerol, beta-sitosterol for the first time.

Two major sterol dos soybean, Glycine max L. [Leguminosae], were isolated with Thin Layer Chromatography [TLC] and argentic TLC. They were examined using NMR, IR and MS instrumental analysis and identified as stigmasterol [stigmast-5, 22-dien-3beta-ol] acetate and sitosterol [stigmast-5-en-3beta-ol] acetate

From the corms of Merendra persica L. [Liliaceae], six alkaloids [colchicine, beta and gamma-lumicolchicine, gamma-lumi-3-demethylcolchicine, 3-demethylcolchicine and demecolcine], three steroidal sapogenins [gitogenin, ruscogenin and diosgenin] and beta-sitosterol were isolated. The identification of the isolated compounds was based on spectroscopic [UV, IR, NMR and MS] and chromatographic evidences
