ABSTRACT

Objective. The current study aimed to develop and validate of companions' satisfaction questionnaire of patients hospitalized in ICUs. Methods. This is a methodological study that was performed in three phases: In the first phase, the concept of companion's satisfaction of patients hospitalized in ICUs was defined through qualitative content analysis method. In the second phase, early items of questionnaire were generated based on findings of the first phase. In the third and final phase, validation of the questionnaire was evaluated using face, content and construct validity as well as reliability. Results. In exploratory factor analysis, three subscales including: satisfaction with nursing staff communication (5 items), satisfaction with nursing care (12 items), and satisfaction with decision making (5 items) were extracted by Eigen value above one and factor load above 0.5. Internal consistency and stability of the developed questionnaire confirmed with 0.94 and 0.95 respectively that indicated acceptable reliability. Conclusion. The 22-item developed questionnaire is valid and reliable for measurement of levels of companion's satisfaction of Iranian patients hospitalized in ICUs.


Objetivo. Desarrollar y validar un cuestionario de satisfacción de acompañantes de pacientes hospitalizados en UCIs. Métodos. Estudio de validación que se realizó en tres fases: en la primera se definió el concepto de satisfacción de los acompañantes de pacientes hospitalizados en UCI mediante el método de análisis de contenido cualitativo; en la segunda fase se generaron los primeros ítems del cuestionario a partir de los resultados de la primera fase; y en la tercera fase se evaluó la validación del cuestionario mediante la validez facial, de contenido y de constructo, así como la fiabilidad. Resultados. En el análisis factorial exploratorio, se extrajeron tres subescalas que incluían: satisfacción con la comunicación del personal de enfermería (5 ítems), satisfacción con los cuidados de enfermería (12 ítems) y satisfacción con la toma de decisiones (5 ítems) con un valor Eigen superior a uno y una carga factorial superior a 0.5. La consistencia interna y la estabilidad del cuestionario desarrollado se confirmaron con 0.94 y 0.95 respectivamente, lo que indicaba una fiabilidad aceptable. Conclusión. El cuestionario desarrollado de 22 ítems es válido y fiable para medir los niveles de satisfacción de los acompañantes de pacientes iraníes hospitalizados en UCI.


Objetivo. Desenvolver e validar um questionário sobre a satisfação dos acompanhantes de pacientes hospitalizados em UTIs. Métodos. Estudo de validação realizado em três fases: na primeira fase, o conceito de satisfação de acompanhantes de pacientes internados em UTIs foi definido por meio do método de análise qualitativa de conteúdo; na segunda fase, os primeiros itens do questionário foram gerados a partir dos resultados da primeira fase; e na terceira fase, a validação do questionário foi avaliada por meio da validade de face, de conteúdo e de construto, bem como da confiabilidade. Resultados. Na análise fatorial exploratória, três subescalas foram extraídas, incluindo: satisfação com a comunicação da equipe de enfermagem (5 itens), satisfação com a assistência de enfermagem (12 itens) e satisfação com a tomada de decisões (5 itens) com um valor Eigen maior que um e uma carga fatorial maior que 0.5. A consistência interna e a estabilidade do questionário desenvolvido foram confirmadas com 0.94 e 0.95, respectivamente, indicando confiabilidade aceitável. Conclusão. O questionário de 22 itens desenvolvido é válido e confiável para medir os níveis de satisfação dos acompanhantes de pacientes iranianos hospitalizados em UTI.

Objectives@#This study sought to investigate citizens' awareness, availment, satisfaction, and perceived need for action with health services offered by a rural municipality in Samar, Philippines.@*Methods@#This study utilized an explanatory-sequential research design, involving 150 participants selected through the Kish Grid Method via a multi-stage sampling approach within the community. The Citizen Satisfaction Index System was employed to assess the levels of awareness, utilization, and satisfaction with health services in the municipality.@*Results@#Among the assessed health services, the cohort had low awareness and low availment on services for communicable diseases, basic dental/oral hygiene, and reproductive health. While high awareness was observed for childbirth services, there was low availment on these. The participants showed high awareness and availment for only two services namely, free general consultation and the free medicine program. While high satisfaction was seen among all services that were assessed, the participants also expressed a high perceived need for action to improve their delivery. @*Conclusion@#This study presents a comprehensive view of rural healthcare in Samar, Philippines. Despite high satisfaction rates, gaps persist in the citizen’s awareness and availment due to accessibility, costs, fear, misinformation, and cultural differences. The findings of this study can guide policymakers in identifying gaps in healthcare in rural areas.

ABSTRACT

Introdução: A pandemia da Covid-19 trouxe consequências diversas para a saúde mental e física das pessoas. O contexto de isolamento social potencializou problemas relacionados à imagem corporal, principalmente em pessoas com transtornos alimentares. Objetivo: Analisar as repercussões da Covid-19 em variáveis antropométricas em relação a percepção de peso e satisfação corporal, comparando mulheres com transtornos alimentares e aquelas sem essa condição. Métodos: Estudo observacional, descritivo, comparativo e transversal. Mulheres com transtornos alimentares em tratamento (GTA) foram recrutadas de cinco serviços nas regiões Sul e Sudeste. A contrapartida, o grupo controle (GCO) foi composto por mulheres sem TA, recrutadas on-line e com o escore negativo no teste EAT-26. Questionários on-line foram aplicados entre junho de 2020 e janeiro de 2021. Análises estatísticas incluíram Qui-quadrado de Pearson ou Exato de Fisher e regressões logísticas pelo SPSS 23.0. Resultados: Participaram 174 mulheres jovens (31,94±9,35 anos), com formação superior (71,3%) e companheiro (61,5%), que estavam em isolamento social. O GTA foi composto por 58 mulheres e GCO, 116. A maioria (55,2%) do GTA notou aumento do peso corporal, enquanto se mostrou pouco satisfeita com a imagem corporal (81%), resultado diferente estatisticamente do GCO. A associação entre mulheres com TA e pouca satisfação corporal foi significativa (p=0,0010). Aquelas em isolamento social e com sobrepeso ou obesidade tiveram maior probabilidade de percepção de aumento de peso. Conclusão: A pandemia da Covid-19 intensificou a insatisfação corporal, principalmente entre mulheres com transtornos alimentares. Aquelas em isolamento com sobrepeso ou obesidade perceberam mais aumento de peso, apontando a necessidade de estratégias de intervenção para esses grupos.


Introduction: The Covid-19 pandemic led to various consequences for people's mental and physical health. The context of social isolation exacerbated problems related to body image, especially in individuals with eating disorders. Objective: To analyze the repercussions of Covid-19 on anthropometric variables regarding weight perception and body satisfaction, comparing women with eating disorders to those without this condition. Methods: Observational, descriptive, comparative, and cross-sectional study. Women with eating disorders in treatment (EDG) were recruited from five services in the South and Southeast regions of Brazil. The counterpart, the control group (CG), consisted of women without eating disorders recruited online and with a negative score on the EAT-26 test. Online questionnaires were applied between June 2020 and January 2021. Statistical analyses included Pearson's Chi-square or Fisher's Exact test and logistic regressions, performed using the SPSS 23.0 program. Results: Participants were 174 young women (31.94±9.35 years of age), with higher education (71.3%) and with a partner (61.5%), who were in social isolation. The EDG consisted of 58 women, with116 in the CG. The majority (55.2%) of the EDG noticed an increase in body weight while being dissatisfied with body image (81.0%), a statistically different result from the CG. The association between women with eating disorders and low body satisfaction was significant (p=.0010). Those in social isolation and overweight or obese were more likely to perceive weight gain. Conclusion: The Covid-19 pandemic intensified body dissatisfaction, especially among women with eating disorders. Those in isolation who were overweight or obese perceived more weight gain, indicating the need for intervention strategies for these groups.

ABSTRACT

Introducción: la pandemia de COVID-19 indujo un cambio en nuestro sistema de salud y de educación. Los programas formativos también tuvieron que adaptarse y exigieron un cambio rápido. Objetivos: describir una experiencia educativa de enseñanza virtual/híbrida en investigación clínica, entre docentes del Servicio de Clínica de un hospital universitario y estudiantes de Medicina de una institución privada, que participaron del Programa ESIN (EStudiantes en INvestigación). Metodología: los contenidos y las estrategias educativas incluyeron las clases teóricas audiograbadas o videograbadas (asincrónicas y autoadministradas), el aprendizaje basado en proyectos, los talleres prácticos (encuentros sincrónicos virtuales y grupales), mediante la adopción de modelos de aprendizaje como el aula invertida, y la tutoría individual entre docente-estudiante. Los datos se recopilaron mediante la observación en contextos académicos, y basándonos en elementos de encuestas anónimas de satisfacción, previo consentimiento informado de los participantes. Resultados: participaron 14 estudiantes, 6 durante el año 2021 y 8 durante 2022. Todas mujeres y estudiantes de medicina (50% de cuarto año, 35% de sexto año y 15% de quinto año). Las técnicas implementadas favorecieron la participación y promovieron el aprendizaje activo, basado en proyectos. Mencionaron aspectos positivos como el enfoque académico práctico, la disponibilidad del equipo docente para atender cualquier duda, el tiempo y el entusiasmo por enseñar y fomentar la participación. Los videos teóricos resultaron útiles como herramientas de repaso, y los encuentros grupales fueron especialmente valorados, si bien los encuentros individuales fueron destacados como ayuda y apoyo previo a los congresos científicos. En general, manifestaron que fue una experiencia enriquecedora que demostró que se puede lograr lo que se creía imposible. Todas participaron activamente de al menos un congreso científico, y el 50% resultó coautora de una publicación académica. Conclusión: los estudiantes asumieron compromisos y responsabilidades, e incorporaron competencias y habilidades en la implementación y en la difusión de los proyectos. Esta experiencia educativa facilitó que el tiempo de clase pudiera optimizarse para intercambio, discusión y dudas. Los recursos producidos, las actividades desarrolladas y los contenidos abordados quedan disponibles a nivel institución. (AU)


Introduction: the COVID-19 pandemic brought about a change in our health and education system. Training programs also had to adapt and required rapid change. Objectives: to describe an educational experience of virtual/hybrid teaching in clinical research between teachers of the Clinical Service of a university hospital and medical students of a private institution who participated in the ESIN Program (Students in Research). Methodology: the contents and educational strategies included audio or videotaped lectures (asynchronous and self-administered), project-based learning, practical workshops (virtual and group synchronous meetings) by adopting learning models such as the inverted classroom, and individual tutoring between teacher and student. We gathered the data through observation in academic contexts and based on elements of anonymous satisfaction surveys, with prior informed consent of participants. Results: fourteen students participated, six in 2021 and eight in 2022. All were women and medical students (50% fourth year, 35% sixth year, and 15% fifth year). The techniques implemented favored participation and promoted active, project-based learning. They mentioned positive aspects such as the practical academic approach, the availability of the teaching team for any doubts, the time and enthusiasm for teaching, and encouraging participation. The theory videos were a valuable review tool, and team meetings received high praise even if the one-on-one meetings received much attention as help and support before the scientific congresses. In general, they stated that it was an enriching experience that showed that you can achieve what you thought impossible. All of them actively participated in at least one scientific congress, and 50% were co-authors of an academic publication. Conclusion: the students assumed commitments and responsibilities and incorporated competencies and skills in project implementation and dissemination. This educational experience helped to optimize class time for exchange, discussion, and doubts. The resources produced, the activities developed, and the contents addressed are now available at the institutional level. (AU)

ABSTRACT

Objetivo: identificar fatores que motivam enfermeiros no exercício da profissão e fornecer recomendações para favorecer a motivação desses profissionais. Método: estudo descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa. Fazem parte da pesquisa um total de 32 narrativas de enfermeiros que atuam em serviços de saúde no Brasil. Foi utilizada a análise de conteúdo. Resultados: quatro temas foram identificados: (1) escolha da profissão de Enfermagem; (2) sentimentos com relação à profissão de Enfermagem; (3) fontes de motivação dos enfermeiros; (4) sugestões para favorecer a motivação dos enfermeiros. Conclusões: enfermeiros acreditam que o próprio ato de cuidar é uma importante fonte de motivação. Enfermeiros se sentem realizados, porém também estão desgastados devido às condições de trabalho. Reconhecimento profissional, melhores condições de trabalho e apoio institucional são alguns dos fatores que poderiam impulsionar a motivação dos enfermeiros.Descritores:Enfermeiras e enfermeiros; Motivação; Pesquisa qualitativa; Satisfação no emprego; Satisfação pessoal.


Objective: to identify factors that motivate nurses in the exercise of their profession and provide recommendations to support the motivation of these professionals. Method: a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. A total of 32 narratives of nurses who work in health services in Brazil are part of the study. Content analysis was used. Results: four themes were identified: (1) choosing the nursing profession; (2) feelings about the nursing profession; (3) nurses' sources of motivation; (4) suggestions to support nurses' motivation. Conclusions: nurses believe that caring itself is an important source of motivation. Nurses feel fulfilled, but they are also worn out due to working conditions. Professional recognition, better working conditions, and institutional support are some of the factors that could boost nurses' motivation.

Objetivo: verificar se autoestima e satisfação com a vida exercem efeitos mediadores na relação entre orientações sexuais minoritárias e sintomatologia depressiva em amostra de pós-graduandos stricto sensu. Método: estudo analítico, transversal, conduzido com 321 pós-graduandos stricto sensu entre março/abril de 2021. Utilizou-se o Patient Health Questionnaire-9 para avaliação de sintomas depressivos, Escala de Autoestima de Rosemberg e Escala de Satisfação com a Vida. Análises de mediação simples foram conduzidas por meio da macro PROCESS. Resultados: pós-graduandos de orientações sexuais minoritárias apresentaram maior severidade de sintomas depressivos e menores indicadores de autoestima e satisfação com a vida do que seus pares heterossexuais. Autoestima e satisfação com a vida mediaram parcialmente a relação entre orientação sexual e severidade de sintomas depressivos em uma proporção de, respectivamente, 48,26% e 37,54%. Conclusão: autoestima e satisfação com a vida apresentaram-se como importantes mediadores da relação entre orientações sexuais minoritárias e sintomas depressivos entre pós-graduandos(AU)


Objective: to verify whether self-esteem and satisfaction with life exert mediating effects on the relationship between minority sexual orientations and depressive symptoms in a sample of graduate students. Method: analytical, cross-sectional study conducted with 321 Brazilian graduate students between March/April 2021. The Patient Health Questionnaire-9 was used to assess depressive symptoms, was used too, Rosemberg´s Self-Esteem Scale and the Life Satisfaction Scale. Simple mediation analyzes were conducted using the PROCESS macro. Results: graduate students with minority sexual orientations had more severe depressive symptoms and lower indicators of self-esteem and life satisfaction than their heterosexual peers. Self-esteem and satisfaction with life partially mediated the relationship between sexual orientation and severity of depressive symptoms in a proportion of, respectively, 48.26% and 37.54%. Conclusion: self-esteem and life satisfaction were important mediators of the relationship between minority sexual orientations and depressive symptoms among graduate students(AU)

Método: estudio transversal analítico realizado junto a 321 estudiantes de posgrado stricto sensu entre marzo y abril de 2021. Para evaluar los síntomas depresivos, se utilizó el Patient Health Questionnaire-9, la Escala de Autoestima de Rosemberg y la Escala de Satisfacción con la Vida. Los análisis de mediación simple se realizaron utilizando la macro PROCESS. Resultados: los estudiantes de posgrado con orientaciones sexuales minoritarias presentaron síntomas depresivos más severos y menores indicadores de autoestima y satisfacción con la vida que sus pares heterosexuales. La autoestima y la satisfacción con la vida mediaron parcialmente la relación entre la orientación sexual y la severidad de los síntomas depresivos en una proporción de, respectivamente, 48,26% y 37,54%. Objetivo: evaluar la satisfacción laboral de profesionales de enfermería actuantes en atención y gestión durante la pandemia de COVID-19. Método: estudio epidemiológico de corte transversal. Participaron 334 profesionales de enfermería de un hospital de enseñanza. Fueron calculadas las frecuencias absolutas y relativas de las variables cualitativas y los promedios de las variables numéricas. Se compararon los promedios de resultados de los dominios de la escala de satisfacción profesional ( Job Satisfaction Survey) con variables sociodemográficaslaborales. Fueron aplicadas las pruebas t de Student, Mann-Whitney, Anova con posprueba de Tukey, Kruskal-Wallis o Dunn para verificar la significancia estadística de los resultados con nivel crítico de 0,05. Resultados: noventa profesionales se mostraron satisfechos con su trabajo, tres profesionales se mostraron insatisfechos y doscientos cuarenta y un profesionales mostraron ambivalencia. Conclusión: Se evidenció ambivalencia en los trabajadores de enfermería en relación a su satisfacción laboral durante el período de la pandemia de COVID-19. Los hallazgos señalan un camino para que los gestores y formuladores de políticas de salud encaucen inversiones en planes de carrera y ambientes laborales que mejoren las condiciones de los trabajadores de enfermería.


Objective: to assess the job satisfaction of nursing professionals who worked in care and management during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: cross-sectional epidemiological study, with the participation of 334 nursing professionals of a teaching hospital. Absolute and relative frequencies of qualitative variables and means of numerical variables were calculated. The mean scores of the domains of the Job Satisfaction Survey were compared with sociodemographic-labor variables. Student's t-test, Mann-Whitney test, and ANOVA test were applied and followed by Tukey, Kruskal-Wallis, or Dunn's post-test to verify the statistical significance of the results with a critical level of 0.05. Results: 90 professionals were satisfied with their work, three professionals were dissatisfied and 241 professionals were ambivalent. Conclusion: ambivalence was evidenced among nursing workers regarding their job satisfaction during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. The findings indicate a path for managers and health policymakers to invest in career plans and work environments that improve the working conditions of nursing workers.


Objetivo: avaliar a satisfação com o trabalho de profissionais de enfermagem que atuaram na assistência e na gestão, durante a pandemia de COVID-19. Método: estudo epidemiológico de corte transversal. Participaram 334 profissionais de enfermagem de um hospital de ensino. Foram calculadas as frequências absolutas e relativas das variáveis qualitativas e as médias das variáveis numéricas. Foram comparadas as médias dos resultados dos domínios da escala de satisfação profissional (Job Satisfaction Survey) com variáveis sociodemográficas-laborais. Foram aplicados os testes t de Student, Mann-Whitney, Anova seguidos de pós-teste de Tukey, Kruskal-Wallis ou Dunn, para verificar a significância estatística dos resultados com nível crítico de 0,05. Resultados: 90 profissionais demonstraram-se satisfeitos com o trabalho, três profissionais demonstraram-se insatisfeitos e 241 profissionais demonstraram-se ambivalentes. Conclusão: foi evidenciada uma ambivalência dos trabalhadores de enfermagem em relação à sua satisfação com o trabalho, durante o período da pandemia de COVID-19. Os achados indicam um caminho para que gerentes e formuladores de política em saúde façam investimentos em planos de carreira e ambiente de trabalho que melhorem as condições de trabalho dos trabalhadores de enfermagem.

ABSTRACT

Risk behaviors are common in adolescence and demonstrates an association with depressive symptoms. Considering the psychological health implications of this phase in adult life, the aim of this study was to verify associations between depressive symptoms and consumption of alcohol and marijuana, self-injurious behavior, health self-perception, life satisfaction, anxiety symptoms and suicidal ideation in adolescents. A total of 298 adolescents, aged 12 to 14 years (61.1% girls), participated in the study. The measures were the translated Health Behavior in School-aged Children questionnaire (HBSC - BR) and the Children's Depression Inventory (CDI). The chi-square test, student's t test and binomial logistic regression (p<0.05) were used. Depressive symptoms were associated with anxiety symptoms and self-injury. Higher risk for alcohol use and consumption, self-injury, negative health self-perception, anxiety and depression related to females. The findings of this population suggest worrying health outcomes, especially for girl. (AU)


Comportamentos de risco são comuns na adolescência e demonstram associação com sintomas depressivos. Considerando as implicações da saúde psicológica dessa fase na vida adulta, o objetivo deste trabalho foi verificar associações entre sintomas depressivos e consumo de álcool e maconha, comportamento autolesivo, autopercepção de saúde, satisfação com a vida, sintomas ansiosos e ideação suicida em adolescentes. Participaram 298 adolescentes, de 12 a 14 anos (61,1% meninas). Os instrumentos utilizados foram o questionário traduzido Health Behavior in School-aged Children (HBSC - BR) e o Inventário de Depressão Infantil (CDI). Utilizou-se os teste Qui-Quadrado, t de student e regressão logística binomial (p<0,05). Sintomas depressivos associaram-se com sintomas ansiosos e autolesão. Maior risco para uso e consumo de álcool, autolesão, autopercepção de saúde negativa, ansiedade e depressão em relação ao sexo feminino. Las conductas de riesgo son comunes en la adolescencia y demuestran una asociación con síntomas depresivos. Considerando las implicaciones psicológicas para la salud de esta fase en la vida adulta, el objetivo de este estudio fue verificar asociaciones entre síntomas depresivos y consumo de alcohol y marihuana, autolesión, autopercepción de salud, satisfacción con la vida, ansiedad e ideación suicida en adolescentes. Participaron 298 adolescentes de 12 a 14 años (61,1% niñas). Los instrumentos utilizados fueron el cuestionario traducido Health Behavior in School-aged Children (HBSC - BR) y el Inventario de Depresión Infantil (CDI). Se utilizaron las pruebas de chi-cuadrado, t de Student y regresión logística binomial (p<0,05). Los síntomas depresivos se asociaron con síntomas de ansiedad y autolesiones. Mayor riesgo de uso y consumo de alcohol, autolesiones, autopercepción negativa de la salud, ansiedad y depresión en relación con el sexo femenino. Los hallazgos de esta población sugieren resultados de salud preocupantes, especialmente para las mujeres. (AU)

ABSTRACT

Evidence-based positive interventions contribute to the promotion of workers' well-being. Accordingly, an intervention was carried out with 11 physiotherapist engaging leaders from a hospital in Porto Alegre to promote their engagement at work as a protection factor. A mixed transformative-sequential study was carried out, consisting of four phases with three stages of assessment. The effectiveness of the intervention was investigated using the Jacobson-Truax Method, evaluating the effects of the intervention on Engagement at Work, Perceived Social Support, Dispositional Hope, Gratitude, and Anxiety. The intervention integrated epistemological assumptions from the Job Demand-Resources Model and the Basic Psychological Needs Theory. The main result was the increased levels of work engagement, which strengthened positive psychological states, and had an anxiety-reducing effect during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study provides relevant contributions to positive development in mental health protection at work. (AU)


Intervenções positivas baseadas em evidências contribuem para promoção do bem-estar dos trabalhadores. Nesse sentido, foi realizada uma intervenção com 11 lideranças engajadoras de fisioterapeutas de um hospital de Porto Alegre para promover seu engajamento no trabalho como fator de proteção. Realizou-se estudo misto transformativo-sequencial, composto por quatro fases em três tempos de avaliação. A efetividade da intervenção foi investigada por meio do Método Jacobson-Truax, avaliando os efeitos da intervenção sobre os níveis de Engajamento no Trabalho, Suporte Social Percebido, Esperança Disposicional, Gratidão e Ansiedade. A intervenção integrou pressupostos epistemológicos do Modelo Recursos e Demandas no Trabalho e da Teoria das Necessidades Psicológicas Básicas. O principal resultado foi o aumento dos níveis de engajamento no trabalho, que fortaleceu estados psicológicos positivos, e teve efeito na redução dos níveis de ansiedade na pandemia de COVID-19. A pesquisa traz contribuições relevantes para o desenvolvimento positivo na proteção da saúde mental no trabalho. (AU)


Intervenciones positivas basadas en evidencia contribuyen a promoción del bienestar de los trabajadores. En ese sentido, se realizó una intervención con 11 fisioterapeutas líderes de compromiso de un hospital de Porto Alegre para promover su Engagement en el Trabajo como factor de protección. Se llevó a cabo un estudio mixto transformativo-secuencial, con cuatro fases y tres etapas de evaluación. Se investigó la efectividad de la intervención mediante el Método de Jacobson-Truax, evaluando los efectos de la intervención sobre los niveles del Engagement en el Trabajo, Apoyo Social Percibido, Esperanza Disposicional, Gratitud y Ansiedad. La intervención integró el Modelo teórico de Demandas y Recursos de Trabajo con la Teoría de Necesidades Psicológicas Básicas. Con un resultado de mayores niveles de Engagement en el Trabajo, lo que fortaleció los estados psicológicos positivos y tuvo un efecto reductor de la ansiedad durante la pandemia. Este estudio aporta contribuciones relevantes al desarrollo positivo en la protección de salud mental en trabajo. (AU)

ABSTRACT

No cenário pandêmico do novo coronavírus, o uso de ferramentas tecnológicas por profissionais de saúde foi imprescindível e muito contribuiu na assistência ao público vulnerável. Com o intuito de evitar a exposição da pessoa idosa ao coronavírus e monitorá-la quanto ao seu estado de saúde, um projeto de telemonotiramento foi desenvolvido. Objetivo:Esse estudo visou avaliar a satisfação dos idosos monitorados pelo serviço de televigilância durante a pandemia da COVID-19 no município de Natal/RN.Metodologia:Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, com amostragem de 719 idosos avaliados, considerando uma média de 35 idosos por unidade básica de saúde, dentre as 21 unidades básicas vinculadas ao projeto, de 25 de novembro de 2020 a 10 de dezembro de 2020.Resultados:Entre os 376 idosos participantes,238eramdo sexo feminino (63,3%), com idade média de 69 anos. Dentre os partícipes, consideraram satisfeitos quanto ao acesso à informação acerca da COVID-19 (89,6%), orientação aos cuidados (90,7%), acolhimento (90,2%). Quanto à satisfação, (67,6%) consideraram o telemonitoramento responsável pela aproximação entre idosos e unidades básicas. Conclusões:Foi alta a satisfação dos idosos acompanhados pelo serviço de televigilância, na medida que se sentiram acolhidos, bem informados e cuidados pelas equipes de saúde das unidades básicas. Dessa forma, a longitudinalidade da atenção, uma atribuição essencial da Estratégia de Saúde da Família, foi mantida pelo trabalho da televigilância (AU).


In the pandemic scenario of the new coronavirus, the use of technological tools by health professionals was essential and contributed greatlyto the assistance of the vulnerable public. In order to avoid the exposure of the elderly person to the coronavirus and monitor them regarding their health status, a telemonitoringproject was developed.Objective:This research aimed at evaluatingthe satisfaction of the elderly monitored by the telesurveillance service during the COVID-19 pandemic in the city of Natal/RN. Methodology:This is a descriptive study, with a sample of 719 elderly people evaluated, considering an average of 35 elderly people per basic health unit, among the 21 basic units linked to the project, from November 25, 2020 to December 10, 2020.Results:Among the 376 elderly participants, 238 were female (63,3%), with an average age of 69 years. The participants considered the access to information about COVID-19(89,6%), care guidance (90,7%), reception (90,2%)satisfactory. As for satisfaction, (67,6%) the participants also considered telemonitoring responsible for bringing the elderly closer to health units.Conclusions:Thesatisfaction from the elderly was enormous. They were accompanied by surveillance service and as they felt welcomed, well-informed and taken care by the basic health service caretakers. This way, the longitudinality of attention, an essential attribution of Family Health Strategy, was maintained by the surveillance service (AU).


En el escenario de pandemia delnuevo coronavirus, el uso de herramientas tecnológicas por parte de los profesionales de la salud fue fundamental y contribuyó en gran medida a la asistencia al público vulnerable. Con el objetivo de evitar la exposición dela persona mayor al coronavirusy monitorear su estado de salud, se desarrolló un proyecto de telemonitoreo.Objetivo: Este estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar la satisfacción de los ancianos monitoreados por el servicio de televigilancia durante la pandemia de COVID-19 en la ciudad de Natal/RN.Metodología: Este es unestudio descriptivo, con una muestra de 719 ancianos evaluados, considerando un promedio de 35 ancianos por unidad básica de salud, entre las 21 unidades básicas vinculadas al proyecto, del 25 de noviembre de 2020 al 10 de diciembre de 2020.Resultados: Entre los 376 ancianos participantes,238 eran mujeres (63,3%), con una edad media de 69 años. Entre los participantes,consideraron satisfecho el acceso a la información sobre la COVID-19 (89,9%), la orientación asistencial (90,7%), la recepción (90,2%). En cuanto a la satisfacción, (67,6%) consideró al teleseguimiento responsable de acercar a los ancianos a las unidades básicas. Conclusiones: La satisfacción de los ancianos por el servicio de telemonitoreo fue elevada, una vez que se sintieron acogidos, bien informados y asistidos por los equipos de salud de las unidades básicas. De esa manera, la atención longitudinal, una atribución esencial de la Estrategia de Salud de la Familia, se mantuvo por el trabajo del telemonitoreo (AU).

Introducción: el servicio de Kinesiología del Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires adoptó la virtualidad para la atención de pacientes durante la pandemia de COVID-19. Se decidió realizar una adaptación transcultural del cuestionario de 17 ítems validado al español de España Telemedicine Satisfaction and Usefulness Questionnaire (TSUQ) para conocer la satisfacción de los pacientes. Métodos: dos investigadores nativos realizaron una adaptación del cuestionario TSUQ al español rioplatense. Participaron pacientes atendidos entre mayo de 2021 y marzo de 2022 que habían realizado al menos cuatro sesiones de Tele-Rehabilitación (TR). Fue evaluada la correlación de la puntuación del instrumento resultante con la de un ítem agregado a modo de criterio externo concurrente. La validación del constructo fue llevada a cabo mediante sendos análisis factoriales exploratorios y confirmatorios. Resultados: obtuvimos 293 cuestionarios (media de edad 57 años, 64% sexo femenino). Luego de los resultados del AFE (Análisis factorial Exploratorio) (n = 101), consensuamos eliminar 5 ítems. El cuestionario resultante (12 ítems) fue luego validado en una nueva muestra (n = 192) a través de un AFC (Análisis factorial Confirmatorio). La fiabilidad compuesta, la varianza media extractada y la validez convergente fueron adecuadas, mientras que la validez discriminante fue escasa. Documentamos una moderada correlación (Spearman de 0,35, p < 0,0001) entre el puntaje total del cuestionario y el de la pregunta agregada como criterio externo concurrente de validación y una excelente correlación entre versiones. Conclusión: la versión abreviada del cuestionario TSUQ en español tiene propiedades psicométricas adecuadas, lo que lo vuelve un instrumento valioso para evaluar la satisfacción de los pacientes que realizan Tele-Rehabilitación. Introduction: the Kinesiology service of the Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires adopted virtuality for patient care during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was decided to make a cross-cultural adaptation of the 17-item Telemedicine Satisfaction and Usefulness Questionnaire (TSUQ) validated for Peninsular Spanish to assess patient satisfaction. Methods: two native researchers adapted the TSUQ questionnaire to Riplatense Spanish. The participants were patients seen between May 2021 and March 2022 who had undergone at least four sessions of TR. We evaluated the correlation between the resulting instrument score and that of an item added as a concurrent external criterion. Construct validation was done with exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. Results: we obtained 293 questionnaires (mean age 57 years, 64% female). After the AFE results (n=101), we agreed on eliminating five items. The final questionnaire (12 items) was tested in a new sample (n=192) with a CEA. Composite reliability, mean-variance extracted, and convergent validity were adequate, whereas the discriminant accuracy was low. We documented a moderate correlation (Spearman of 0.35, p < 0.0001) between the total questionnaire score and the aggregate question score as a concurrent external validation criterion and an excellent correlation between versions. Conclusion: the abbreviated version of the TSUQ questionnaire in Spanish has suitable psychometric properties, which makes it a valuable instrument for evaluating patient satisfaction in persons undergoing Tele-Rehabilitation. Introducción: El bienestar del adulto mayor constituye una prioridad del Sistema Sanitario, por lo que es necesario contar con instrumentos válidos y confiables para su evaluación. Objetivo: Validar la Escala de Bienestar Psicológico de Carol Ryff, en una muestra de adultos mayores con diagnóstico presuntivo de osteoartrosis de rodilla, de la provincia de Villa Clara, Cuba. Métodos: Se asumió el paradigma de investigación cuantitativo y un tipo de estudio instrumental. La selección muestral fue probabilística, conformada por 170 adultos mayores. Se aplicó el instrumento Escala de Bienestar Psicológico de Carol Ryff (42 aspectos); para el procesamiento de la información se emplearon las pruebas estadísticas: coeficiente alpha de Cronbach y el Análisis Factorial Exploratorio. Resultados: Se determinó una estructura coherente de 5 factores: autoaceptación, propósito en la vida, dominio del entorno, autonomía y relaciones positivas con los demás. Se apreció una elevada consistencia interna de la escala global y sus dimensiones, así como adecuadas correlaciones entre los diversos aspectos. Conclusión: El instrumento posee adecuadas propiedades psicométricas y permite evaluar el constructo en esta población.


Introduction: the well-being of the elderly is a priority of the health system, that is why valid and reliable instruments are necessary for its evaluation. Objective: to validate the Carol Ryff's Psychological Well-Being Scale in a sample of older adults from Villa Clara province, Cuba with a presumptive diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis. Methods: a quantitative and instrumental research was assumed. The sample selection was probabilistic, made up of 170 older adults with this condition. The Carol Ryff's Psychological Well-Being Scale was applied (42 items); statistical tests were used for information processing such as Cronbach's alpha coefficient and Exploratory Factor Analysis. Results: a coherent factorial structure of 5 factors was determined: self-acceptance, purpose in life, environmental mastery, autonomy, and positive relationships with others. A high internal consistency of the global scale and its dimensions were observed, as well as adequate inter-item correlations. Conclusion: the instrument has adequate psychometric properties and allows us to evaluate the construct in this population.

Método: trata-se de uma revisão sistemática com publicações nos anos de 1999 a 2019. Gonzáles Rey. Realizou-se uma busca no Portal de Periódicos da Capes, utilizando as bases Springer, Elsevier, Science Direct Jounals, ScientificElectronic Library Online - SciELO e Open AcessJournal. Os descritores foram "sentido subjetivo González Rey" e "Configuração Subjetiva González Rey".Resultados: foram identificados 64 artigos, destes 12 se enquadraram nos critérios de inclusão. Percebeu-se que há poucos estudos sobre a sentido subjetivo e suas configurações subjetivas associados e voltados para aprendizagem e desenvolvimento; os conceitos têm por consenso a avaliação subjetiva e a multidimensionalidade; predominam os estudos subjetivos; os resultados variam em diferentes contextos estudados. Conclusão: conclui-se que o indivíduo representa um momento essencial de sua constituição subjetiva.(AU)


Objective: to analyze the literature of González Rey's productions in relation to the concept of subjective meaning and subjective configuration in different contexts of life. Method: this is a systematic review with publications from 1999 to 2019. Gonzáles Rey. The descriptors were "subjective sense González Rey" and "Subjective Configuration González Rey". Results: 64 articles were identified, of which 12 met the inclusion criteria. It was noticed that there are few studies on the subjective sense and its associated subjective configurations and focused on learning and development; concepts are based on subjective evaluation and multidimensionality; subjective studies predominate; results vary in different contexts studied. Conclusion: it is concluded that the individual represents an essential moment of his subjective constitution.(AU)

ABSTRACT

Objetivo: compreender como o psicodrama, enquanto recurso pedagógico, possibilita aos educadores da área da saúde mental de nível superior superarem de forma subjetiva as suas dificuldades no decorrer das atividades laborais para se desenvolverem. Método: trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa que utiliza o método educacional psicodramático proposto por Maria Alicia Romanã em consonância com as técnicas exploratórias da mente humana utilizadas por Jacob Levy Moreno no psicodrama e, teoria da subjetividade proposta por Luis Fernando Gonzáles Rey, sendo composto por um grupo de seis educadores de saúde mental. Resultados: evidenciaram a importância das técnicas de psicodrama para despertar pensamentos críticos e reflexivos nos educadores em relação a subjetividade individual. Conclusão: é de suma relevância a formação de educadores na área do psicodrama socioeducativos para intervir na saúde mental dos alunos possibilitando a criação de condições reais e viabilização de entendimentos.(AU)


Objective: to understand how psychodrama, as a pedagogical resource, enables higher-level mental health educators to subjectively overcome their difficulties in the course of work activities in order to develop. Method: this is a qualitative research that uses the psychodramatic educational method proposed by Maria Alicia Romanã in line with the exploratory techniques of the human mind used by Jacob Levy Moreno in psychodrama and, subjectivity theory proposed by Luis Fernando Gonzáles Rey, being composed by a group of six mental health educators. Results: evidenced the importance of psychodrama techniques to awaken critical and reflective thoughts in educators in relation to individual subjectivity. Conclusion: it is extremely important to train educators in the area of socioeducational psychodrama to intervene in the mental health of students, enabling the creation of real conditions and the viability of understandings.(AU)

ABSTRACT

Este estudo teve como objetivo traduzir, adaptar e, apresentar as propriedades psicométricas do Unified Multidimensional Calling Scale ­ UMCS, assim como invariância da medida por sexo para a população brasileira. O estudo contou com uma amostra de 2111 trabalhadores adultos (67% mulheres), com idades entre 18 e 77 anos (M = 41,70; DP = 11,10). A versão brasileira da escala apresentou melhores índices de ajuste com uma estrutura de sete fatores e invariância por sexo. Além disso, a medida apresentou evidências externas com trabalho significativo, orientação proteana de carreira, satisfação no trabalho, satisfação com a vida e workaholismo. Concluiu-se que os resultados obtidos ampliam a rede nomológica do construto Chamados Ocupacionais e discutem suas implicações teórico e práticas. Sendo os resultados favoráveis para o uso da medida adaptada em contextos de pesquisa e avaliação em temas de carreira no Brasil.


This study aimed to translate, adapt and present the psychometric properties of the Unified Multidimensional Calling Scale ­ UMCS, as well as the invariance of the measure by sex for the Brazilian population. The study included a sample of 2111 adult workers (67% women), aged between 18 and 77 years (M = 41.70; SD = 11.10). The Brazilian version of the scale showed better fit indices with a seven-factor structure and gender invariance. In addition, the measure showed external evidence with significant work, protean career orientation, job satisfaction, life satisfaction, and workaholism. Thus, it was concluded that the results obtained expand the nomological network of the construct Occupational Callings and discuss its theoretical and practical implications. The results are favorable for the use of the adapted measure in research and evaluation contexts in career themes in Brazil.


Este estudio tuvo como objetivo traducir, adaptar y presentar las propiedades psicométricas de la Escala Unificada Multidimensional de Llamado - UMCS, así como la invariancia de la medida por sexo para la población brasileña. El estudio incluyó una muestra de 2111 trabajadores adultos (67% mujeres), con edades comprendidas entre 18 y 77 años (M = 41,70; DT = 11,10). La versión brasileña de la escala mostró mejores índices de ajuste con una estructura de siete factores e invariancia de género. Además, la medida presentó evidencia externa con trabajo significativo, orientación profesional proteica, satisfacción laboral, satisfacción con la vida y adicción al trabajo. Se concluyó que los resultados obtenidos amplían la red nomológica del constructo denominado Llamados Ocupacionales y discuten sus implicaciones teóricas y prácticas. Los resultados son favorables para el uso de la medida adaptada en contextos de investigación y evaluación en temas de carrera en Brasil.

Objectives@#This study aims to assess caregiver satisfaction with the use of telemedicine in the evaluation of children referred for neurodevelopmental evaluation at the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics Clinic.@*Materials and Methods@#A survey was conducted on caregivers of pediatric patients aged 3 months to 18 years and 11 months old for neurodevelopmental evaluation. A questionnaire to determine the demographic and clinical data and Parent/Caregiver-Reported Satisfaction Form were administered via email, Facebook messenger or phone call.@*Results@#Seventy-three caregivers completed the questionnaire. Most (95.9%) were mothers, 47.9% were college graduates with one parent working and 43% have an income of 10,000-20,000. Almost half (47.9%) of the children they care for were ages 3-months to 2-year 11 -months, predominantly males, with 35.6% diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, and 69.9% were new patients. Caregivers were very highly satisfied with telemedicine in all domains (technical functioning, comfort and perceived privacy, access to care and overall satisfaction) as it obtained a mean of 4.51 and median of 5.00. There was no significant difference in the responses based on the age of the child and type of visit.@*Conclusion@#Caregivers showed very high level of satisfaction with the use of telemedicine in the neurodevelopmental evaluation of children at PCMC and holds a significant promise for its use both within the context of the pandemic and beyond.@*Recommendations@#Further studies on caregivers’ satisfaction with the use of telemedicine over a sustained period and comparing telemedicine and in-person assessment are recommended.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To determine the level of knowledge and factors affecting knowledge and satisfaction with diabetes care among persons with diabetes at urban health centre (UHC) and community health worker (CHW)-led outreach clinics (ORC) in South India.@*Methodology@#A cross-sectional study was carried out using a structured questionnaire. One hundred patients at the UHC and 200 patients at the ORC were included.@*Results@#Patients with DM of more than eight years, with co-morbidities and maintained on insulin had good knowledge at the UHC. At the ORC, participants who received education beyond the primary level and belonging to non - Hindu religion had higher knowledge. Patients at the ORC experienced better satisfaction in terms of waiting time for appointments, consultation, registration system and counselling. At the UHC, those who received primary education or those with lower educational attainment had better satisfaction. Overall, knowledge (p=0.03) and satisfaction (p=0.00001) of diabetes care was better at the ORC than at the UHC.@*Conclusions@#Our study found better knowledge and satisfaction with diabetes care at the ORC than at the UHC. Whether or not the difference can be attributed to CHW-based clinics in the community needs to be further elucidated.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVES@#Gastrointestinal endoscopy plays an important role in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases. The satisfaction degree of gastrointestinal endoscopy can directly affect the patient's compliance and further impact the treating effect. At present, there is no scale to evaluate the satisfaction degree of gastrointestinal endoscopy in China. This study aims to develop a satisfaction scale of gastrointestinal endoscopy suitable for national conditions and to evaluate its reliability and validity, which provides a tool for clinic to evaluate patients' satisfaction with gastrointestinal endoscopy.@*METHODS@#The original gastrointestinal endoscopy satisfaction scale was compiled by literature review, consulting senior endoscopists and experts. Through the first round of survey about 120 patients, the original scale was analyzed and modified according to the results to get the gastrointestinal endoscopy satisfaction scale (formal scale). The formal scale was used to conduct the second round of survey about 200 patients. The reliability and validity of the scale were analyzed and evaluated according to the survey results.@*RESULTS@#The reliability of the original scale was good but the validity was poor. The formal scale had 2 dimensions and 10 items, the Cronbach's alpha and split-half reliability were 0.889 and 0.823. The structure validity index χ2/df was 2.513, root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) was 0.094, goodness of fit index (GFI) was 0.914, adjusted goodness of fit index (AGFI) was 0.861, comparative fit index (CFI) was 0.946, normed fit index (NFI) was 0.915. The aggregate validity was general, the discriminative validity was good, and the direct score of patients was strongly correlated with the total score of the scale.@*CONCLUSIONS@#The gastrointestinal endoscopy satisfaction scale has good reliability and validity, which can be used as a tool to evaluate patients' satisfaction with gastrointestinal endoscopy in China.

Abstract Introduction Depression in aging may lead to loss of autonomy and worsening of comorbidities. Understanding how positive attributes contribute to healthier and happier aging has been one ofthe purposes of Positive Psychology. However, the literature still lacks studies that evaluate how depression in the elderly is related to constructs considered positive. Objective The present study aimed comparing scores of constructs of spiritual well-being, social support, selfesteem, life satisfaction, affection, optimism, and hope in the elderly with minimal, mild, moderate, and severe depression and healthy controls in order to investigate possible indirect and mediated relationships between positive constructs and depression. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted with elderly, 62 of whom were diagnosed with different severity of Major Depression (DSM-V) (minimum, mild, moderate, and severe according to the Beck Depression Inventory - BDI) and 66 healthy controls matched by age, sex and schooling. The instruments used were adapted and validated versions of the Spirituality Self-Rating Scale, the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, the Medical Outcomes Social Scale of Support, the Life Satisfaction Scale, the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule, the Revised Life Orientation Test, and the Adult Dispositional Hope Scale. After comparing the means of scores between groups, an analysis of normalized partial association networks was performed to investigate the direct and mediated relationships between depression and other evaluated constructs. Results Scores of spiritual well-being, social support, self-esteem, life satisfaction, positive affect, optimism, negative affects, and hope differed significantly between the control group and the degrees of depression (p < 0.001). The analysis of normalized partial association networks has shown that the relations of depression with the constructs of life satisfaction, self-esteem, and social support are mediated, while the constructs of dispositional hope, positive affect, spiritual well-being, and optimism are indirectly related to depression. The social class was also positively related to depression. Conclusion Depression in different degrees is associated with a reduction in the scores of instruments that evaluate positive attributes. The constructs directly associated with depression are spiritual well-being, optimism, positive affect, and dispositional hope. The others had mediated relationship. These results may contribute to the planning of future interventions for the prevention of depression among the elderly.

ABSTRACT

As resoluções emitidas pelo Sistema Conselhos são instrumentos essenciais de orientação e promoção de práticas éticas que denotem qualidade técnica no exercício profissional da Psicologia. Dada a complexidade que envolve a elaboração de documentos psicológicos, esta pesquisa teve como objetivo identificar as principais mudanças observadas no texto da recém-publicada Resolução CFP n.º 006/2019 quando comparada à Resolução CFP n.º 007/2003, ambas referidas à elaboração de documentos psicológicos. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva-comparativa de abordagem qualitativa, que utilizou da análise de conteúdo no tratamento e interpretação dos dados oriundos de fonte exclusivamente documental. Os resultados indicaram poucas diferenças qualitativas entre os marcos resolutivos, embora se vislumbre altamente relevante o ganho adquirido com a proibição de escritos descritivos, a exigência de referencial teórico para fundamentar o raciocínio profissional e a obrigatoriedade da devolutiva documental. Entre os achados que ganham notoriedade consta a preocupação com os princípios que regem a elaboração de documentos, cuja apresentação tautológica responde a um cenário político de retrocessos que tem favorecido o desrespeito aos direitos humanos e às minorias.(AU)


Resolutions issued by Sistema Conselhos are essential tools to guide and promote ethical and quality psychology practices. Given the complexity involved in elaborating such documents, this descriptive, qualitative research outlines the main changes in the text of the recently published CFP Resolution no. 006/2019 when compared with CFP Resolution no. 007/2003, both addressing the elaboration of psychological documents. Documentary data was investigated by content analysis. Results indicated few qualitative differences between the analyzed Resolutions, among them the prohibition of descriptive writing, the requirement for a theoretical framework to support professional reasoning, and the obligation to return documents. Concern with the principles that guide document elaboration stands out, responding to a political scenario of major setbacks regarding respect for human rights and minorities.(AU)


Las resoluciones que expide el Sistema Conselhos consisten en instrumentos fundamentales que guían y promueven prácticas éticas respecto a la calidad técnica en el ejercicio profesional de la Psicología. Dada la complejidad que implica la elaboración de documentos psicológicos, esta investigación tuvo como objetivo identificar los principales cambios observados en la Resolución CFP n.º 006/2019, de reciente publicación, en comparación con la Resolución CFP n.º 007/2003, ambas abordan la elaboración de documentos psicológicos. Se trata de una investigación descriptiva-comparativa con enfoque cualitativo, que utilizó el análisis de contenido en el tratamiento e interpretación de datos de fuente exclusivamente documental. Los resultados indicaron pocas diferencias cualitativas entre los marcos resolutivos (aunque el logro de prohibir los escritos descriptivos es muy relevante), la exigencia de un marco teórico para sostener el razonamiento profesional y la devolución obligatoria de los documentos. Entre los hallazgos que cobran notoriedad está la preocupación por los principios que rigen la elaboración de documentos, cuya presentación tautológica responde a un escenario político de retrocesos que ha favorecido la falta de respeto a los derechos humanos y las minorías.(AU)
