RESUMEN

The hepatic hydatidosis, which is a real health problem in Morocco, is known as begnin; however, it may turn to be serious because of its inescapable complications. A crack dominate in the biliary canals or in the peritoneum, and can take anaphylactic appearances due to antigens of the echinococcus granulosus. These reactions can enamel the spontaneous evolution of the hydatid cyst, as they can occur after a traumatism, or during surgical manoeuvres. It is about a 21-year-old patient who presented an anaphylactic choc after a percutaneous puncture of a hydatid liver cyst. The immediate treatment of the choc was efficacious and the intervention was performed without any incidents after laparotomy. After some time at the intensive care section, the rehabilitation of the patient was satisfactory and the post surgical effects were normal. The analysis of this observation and other data of the literature make admit the scarcity and seriousness of this fearsome incident. The association of an abdominal chart and a collapses with allergic signs should attract attention. Given the endemic character of this pathology in our country, the best treatment starts with prevention

RESUMEN

We determined the prevalence of adverse drug events [ADEs] in a general teaching hospital in Rabat, Morocco. We performed a 5-day cross-sectional study of hospital departments recruiting inpatients and outpatients. Among the 1390 patients surveyed, 59 [4.2%] experienced at least 1 ADE and for 20 patients [1.4%] the ADE was responsible for hospitalization or prolongation of hospitalization. The ADE was classified as serious in 28 patients. Of the total of 76 ADEs, 10 [13.2%] were categorized as preventable; 6 of these occurred during the treatment monitoring phase. Patients who experienced an ADE were more likely to be women, to be younger [< 30 years] and to be hospitalized in medical departments
