RESUMEN

The foot of the diabetic patient is exposed to develop potentially serious trophic disorders that can lead to amputation. This risk is favoured by the conjunction of neurological, arterial and infectious complications. The frequency of these complications is very high. This makes the early detection of patients with podological risk, of crucial importance. Prevention in these particularly exposed patients should be carried on through education and a specialized follow-up

RESUMEN

The authors do clinical anatomic study showing 102 cases of lung primitives cancers to be diagnose in 60% cases on biopsy and 40% on operation, piece. The matter in boundless majority of cases in carcinoma 92%, themselves overlooked by squamous cells carcinoma 55% forwarded by adenocarcinoma 20%, small cells carcinoma represent 11% of cases and larg cells carcinoma 7%. the mean age of occur is 55 years and any cases of carcinoma is observed at person under 30 years of age. 94% of person are masculine. the majority of tumors 58% cases present themselves as bulky masses exceeding 6 cm of diameter. the authors insist in this study on necessity of early diagnosis when the therapeutic will be curative

RESUMEN

The authors describe the epidemiology of rabies disease in Tunisia since 1982, the problem of reservoirs and vectors, the production of vaccine, the diagnosis and the treatment of the disease. the note that this disease is decreasing in the animals that have bitten, nevertheless the canine rabies remains important problem of public health in the country

RESUMEN

The authors present in this paper a study of the bacterian pollution of inshored waters of southern suburbs of tunis, on the basis of 180 samples collected in 15 different stations, 15 monthly [one for each station]. two districts have been considered: ez-zahra and hammam-life. the two districts are submitted to an important bacterian pollution, mainly due to human factor but also to geographical and geomorphological data, to physico-chemical parameters and to some biological characters

RESUMEN

The authors present four cases of malignant mesothelioma of pleura.mean of age of our patients is 34 years. two of them are man, the two others are women.the histologic study shows that our cases are represented by one of epithelial type, one of sarcomatoid type and the two last of mixed biphasic type. The authors insist, in the basis of literature data, and secondary of the positive and differential diagnosis concerning the primitive and secondary epithelial tumors of the lung. The means of diagnosis are represented currently by cytology and histopathology and also by cytochemistry and immunohistochemisty

RESUMEN

The author presents in this study the acquirements of the scientific thought of Charles Nicolle, chiefly on the basis of two notions the asymptomatic diseases and the destiny of infectious diseases. Recalling the factors which prevailing about the career of Charles Nicolle, he shows that the asymptomatic diseases became a fundamental notion in infectious pathology as human, animal, viral, bacterian and parasitic diseases. The notion allowed him to open the study of pathogen agents on the fields of the environnement, so enriching the epidemiology, the prophylaxy and the medical ecology. After the notion of specificity of microbs pointed out by Pasteur, Charles Nicolle enlarged their implications and conceived the infinite complexity of microbs, The first he introduced in microbiology the notion of mutation and foresaw the birth, the evaluation and the death of the infectious diseases. Not so long time after and now these anticipations has been proved

RESUMEN

The authors recall the historic of the different campaignes conducted against the malaria in Tunisia. Started since 1903 under the direction of Charles Nicolle, these campaignes were taken over after the end of each world war. However it must be necessary to wait the last campaign from 1966 to 1972, to conclude at the eradication of the disease, in 1977, into the country. Since this date, the systematic control of malaria is always conducted in the country. This end control is objected to avoid the resurgence of this parasitic disease in Tunisia, for the number of imported cases is increasing and the country presents ecological conditions propitious to anophelism

RESUMEN

The authors present in this paper a study of the bacterian pollution of inshored waters of northern suburbs of Tunis, on the basis of 180 sampled collected in 15 different stations, 15 monthly [one for each station]. Three districts have been considered: Raouad-Gammarth, La Marsa-Carthage and La Goulette. This last district is mostly submitted to the bacterian pollution, caused by its neighborhood of the lagoon of Tunis reserve of pollution and of the city of Tunis

RESUMEN

A retrospective study interesting 582 anatomoclinical cases of gastric malignants tumors was realised in two anatomo-pathological services of Tunis from 1970 to 1985. The average age of patients is 55 years old, with extensives ranges from 17 to 85 years old. The authors point out significative male predominance 64.6% of cases, the ulcered form is the most frequent, about 3.8% of macroscopic aspect cases. Among these last, the authors find 26.7% of ulcerating and polypoid form with invasive characteristics and 18.83% of linitis plastica. The pyloric area localisation is the most frequent, 68% of cases. Diffuse tumors are observed in 8.47% of cases and numerous stomach localisation in 0.82% of cases. 84% of histological aspect are represented by adenocarcinoma, the most frequent of them [35%] is well differenciated type, then the poorly differentiated [20%] and atypic form [19,75%], Frequency of lymphosarcoma reaches 14,7%, the first is the centroblastic form, then lymphoblastic and lymphoplasmocytic forms. Concerning evolution, gastric cancer is an infiltrative tumor serosal surface is attempted in 69.5% of cases, and during the first chirurgical act half cases show lymph nodes metastasis

RESUMEN

The inshore areas of Tabarka and Bizerte are not submitted to the bacterian pollution. The [Old Port] of Bizerte is mainly contamined all the year round and sometimes polluted the neighbouring urban beach. The lagoon of Bizerte presents any bacterian pollution and could be adapted to the conchyliculture and to the stabulation of Bivalves, with before some important precautions
