RESUMEN

The effects of Trichomonas vaginalis and Candida albicans on fresh semen samples were studied, in order to evaluate their roles in human infertility. It was found that spermatozoal motility greatly subsided with addition of greater concentrations of either of both pathogens. On the other hand while Trichomonas vaginalis has no effect on spermatozoal agglutination, candida lead to apparant agglutination and even spermatozoal flocculation. The effect of semen on both organisms was studied and we found that semen did not favour the growth of Trichomonas vaginalis but it was a good medium for the growth of candida albicans
