RESUMEN

The theoretical based of real forces exerted on the human hip joints are calculated. Newton's law at condition of equilibrium to forces and torques applied on human hip joints is suggested theoretically and then applied to a case of hip joint injure and prosthetic. It was found that the forces act on the hip joint is nearly two and a half times the weight of the certain person. The lost of weight for the amputee have been taken under account in calculation to improve local manufacturing in Sudan

RESUMEN

The theoretical based of real displacement forces exerted on the below knee for an amputee prosthetic are considered. Partial differential equation [PDE] in boundary condition surround of prosthetic is theoretically suggested in order to find forces components and stresses. The theoretical model is applied to simulate the prosthetic. The data of image segmentations are found to support the results obtained using bio-mechanics simulation. Furthermore, it is important to mention that the fitted socket to the underneath knee prosthetic should have a large safe margin with surround of soft tissue

RESUMEN

The aim of this work was to assess the effectiveness and benefits of using Ultrasound and Computed tomography in diagnosis of urinary system diseases. Thirty patients suffering from different renal system disorders were investigated using both U/S and CT scan in Ribat University Hospital, Radiology Department and the results reported by four radiologists to confirm the diagnosis and to know the efficiency of Ultrasound and computed tomography in detecting urinary system diseases. This process was done to help the patients in minimizing investigation cost and time, also to reduce the side effects of radiation hazards and patient manipulation which help in promotion of disease detection and to facilitate the treatment. The study was performed on 13 male patients aging between 16 to 56 year. The results showed that the CT scan is better than U/S in detecting renal s tones while the U/S is better than CT scan in detecting of renal cyst and ectopic kidneys, in agreement with previously reported studies. We have found that the ability of CT scan in male patients to detect renal disease was about 77% while that for U/S was about 93%. On the other hand, for the 17 Female patients aging between 5 to 56 years. The results showed that the CT scan was also better than U/S in detecting the renal stones and is less effective in detecting the renal cyst and ectopic kidneys. The ability of CT scan to detect renal disease in female patients was more than 94% while for U/S was about 88%. We observed that the U/S was more accurate than CT scan for male patients while the CT scan was accurate than U/S in female patients
