RESUMEN

In treatment of 10 cases of early primary or secondary massive anterior chamber hemorrhage with secondary glaucoma after ocular contusion before occurence of blood staining of the cornea, only early removal of the large dark gelatinous blood clots filling the anterior chamber and obstructing its angle through a subconjunctival large 90ø limbal incision gave good results in treatment of secondary glaucoma and prevention of blood staining of the cornea. 2. If after removal of the blood clots there was still an arterial bleeding spot at the base of the iris or in the ciliary body, a nasal pillar iris inclusion performed from the same incision helped subconjunctival drainage with prevention of recurrence of high. ocular tension and blood staining of the cornea

RESUMEN

1. In both reported cases of malignant phakic glaucoma, the lens was not interiorly desiccated. It was suggested that the lens and iris were pushed forwards by the vitreous thus obliterating the site of the fistulising operation. In the third aphakic case, the iris and anterior hayloid were also pushed forwards. The forward push of the vitreous was suggested to be due to severe engorgement of uveal vessels especially those of the rectile choroid taking a larger space of the ocular volume 2. These cases Were treated by Lindner vitrecus fistula followed by salint injection into anterior chamber, The ocular tension became low and anterior Chamber formed

RESUMEN

Aiming at a more permanent results in lowering the ocular tension in cases of aphakic glaucoma due to delayed or non-formation of A.C., Scheie operation was done in 10 cases, in 4 of them after failure of repeated cyclodialysis and in the rest as a primary procedure. Results were very encouraging. The ocular tension was lowered to normal in 9 cases by one operation. Only ate case [case X] required a second intervention on nasal pillar with subsequent normalization of tension. Scheie operation is thus the operation of choice for cases of aphakic glaucoma being safe, easy and with high percentage of success
