This article described a new laboratory visible light cured resin which affords the dental technician a material more like ceramics. A clinical study of 600 units of Visio gem crowns have been appraised, which show very encouraging results. Although the results do not yet approach the required duratIon 16 the results achieved so far are very closely related to a four year study by Oberlanderl4. This This material has excellent aesthetics, is easy and simple to operate with and has challenging mechanical properties. In view of the problems associated with long term use of porcelain, i.e. abrasion of dental enamel and precious metal occlusal surfaces of the opposing teeth, Visio gem could be an excellent alternative

A step by step technique of making a Visio gem bridge in the laboratory has been described in detail. This new sytem in terms of its working characteristcs is similar to ceramics. The single component materials, however, is much easier, quicker, less expensive and requires less trained technicians to produce these crowns and bridges
