RESUMEN
We have compared fine-needle aspiration biopsy [FNAB] of the skin lesions of suspected cutaneous leishmaniasis with scraping and touch smears of those lesions. The FNAB technique was shown superior because it was less painful and after and provided better quality of material. In addition, it gave less false-negative results
