RESUMEN

Fibrolipoma is a benign tumor which is classified as a histological variant of conventional lipoma. It rarely occurs in oral and maxillofacial region. When present, it occurs as a soft, smooth surfaced nodular mass that can be pedunculated or sessile. Most of the lesions are less than 3 cm in size, although it may vary. Fibrolipomas mostly affect buccal mucosa and buccal vestibule and cause functional and cosmetic disabilities. Herniation of buccal pad of fat caused by trauma may also mimic lipoma. Hence, accurate histopathological examination of lipomas is important for a correct treatment plan. Here, we present 2 cases of oral fibrolipoma that presented on the retromolar triangle area and alveolar ridge in relation to missing maxillary right first molar.

RESUMEN

Background: Gingival recession is both unpleasant and unaesthetic. Gingival recession associated with dentinal hypersensitivity is one of the commonest issues addressed by the periodontist. The treatment of choice for such cases should address biological as well as patient chief complaint. Meeting the esthetic and functional demands of patients with multiple gingival recessions remains a major therapeutic challenge. Coronally advanced flaps for root coverage are the most commonly used technique for multiple teeth recessions. This case report describes a case of Class I gingival recession due to faulty brushing technique associate with dentinal hyper sensitivity treated with Zucchelli’s modification of conventional coronally advanced flap with PRF membrane.

RESUMEN

Reactionary haemorrhage associated with periodontal flap surgery is an unusual finding. Periodontal flap surgery is a common treatment modality used to allow the exposure and correction of periodontal defects for the long-term maintenance of periodontal health. Though being a routine procedure, significant post-surgical haemorrhage is very uncommon due to the primary closure of the soft tissues following surgeries. Here is a case of 44-year-old systemically healthy female patient reported with an unusual condition of the formation of a "liver clot" or "currant jelly clot" following periodontal flap surgery.
