RESUMEN
El presente trabajo busca ampliar el conocimiento histórico de la Salud Pública venezolana conociendo la aportación de los higienistas españoles exiliados durante las décadas centrales del siglo XX (1939-1960) en Venezuela. En el desarrollo de la Salud Pública venezolana participaron un gran número de exiliados españoles, constituyéndose en un acervo sanitario de incuestionable valor en las especializaciones de las diversas ramas que integraban los servicios de Sanidad y Asistencia Social. Ubicándose este lapso, en la época de los grandes desafíos de la Salud Pública Venezolana y en el que este grupo de sanitaristas jugaron un importante papel para la identificación de los peligros de la salud, previniendo posibles consecuencias dañinas para la población, y realizando una labor tanto sanitarista como educativa con una gran creatividad y mística solidarias, apoyados en la investigación y en el trabajo de campo.En este artículo haremos una reseña de los autores encontrados en la revista seleccionada, los cuales dieron intenso prestigio a las instituciones médicas venezolanas
The present work seeks to expand the historic knowledge of the Venezuelan Public Health by getting to know the contribution of the exiled Spanish hygienists during the middle decades of the 20th century (1939-1960) in Venezuela. The development of the Venezuelan Public Health in these decades was very complex, with a high range of technical and academic participations by the exiled Spaniards who worked in Venezuela on behalf of the construction of the Public Health, becoming a sanitary heritage of unquestionable value in the specializations of the diverse branches that integrated the services of Health and Social Assistance. Being located this interim in the epoch of the great challenges of the Venezuelan Public Health, and in which this group of health workers played an important role for the identification of the dangers to the health, by preventing possible harmful consequences to the population, and carrying out a work as much health oriented, as educational, with great supportive creativity and mystic, based on the investigation and the field work.
