Rehabilitación Integral de un paciente con reabsorción ósea horizontal, mediante regeneración ósea guiada simultánea a la colocación de implantes / Full mouth rehabilitation of a patient with horizontal bone resorption through guided bone regeneration simultaneous to the placement of implants

El objetivo del presente caso clínico fue rehabilitar integralmente a un paciente parcialmente edéntulo con reabsorción ósea horizontal en zona estética anterior, mediante implantes dentales. Se relata el caso clínico de una paciente de 78 años de edad sistémicamente sana con reabsorción ósea horizontal severa portadora por muchos años de prótesis parcial removible. Se realizó regeneración ósea guiada con colocación simultánea de implantes dentales usando mallas de titanio que fueron fijadas al implante. Xenoinjerto de origen bovino fue usado como biomaterial. Se colectó sangre del paciente para elaborar, mediante centrifugado, membranas de plasma ricas en fibrina-avanzada (A-PRF) que fueron colocadas sobre las mallas de titanio. Luego de 10 meses se comprobó la regeneración ósea y estabilidad de los implantes. Se procedió con la rehabilitación mediante prótesis fija unitaria en las zonas de la regeneración. En el sector posterior superior e inferior fueron instaladas prótesis parciales removibles, siendo la inferior retenida por un implante usando como retenedor un pilar tipo locator. Concluimos que la regeneración ósea guiada simultánea a la colocación de implante dentales es un tratamiento altamente predecible y confiable en el tratamiento de pacientes parcialmente edéntulos con reabsorción ósea horizontal severa.

The purpose of this clinical case was to rehabilitate a partially edentulous patient with horizontal bone resorption in the anterior aesthetic zone using dental implants. In the present report, the clinical case of a 78-year-old healthy systemic patient with severe horizontal bone resorption carrier for many years of removable partial denture is reported. Guided bone regeneration was performed with simultaneous placement of dental implants using titanium meshes that were fixed to the implant. Xenograft of bovine origin was used as a biomaterial. Blood was collected from the patient to elaborate, by centrifugation, membranes of plasma rich in fibrin advanced (A-PRF) that were placed on the titanium meshes. After 10 months the bone regeneration and implant stability were checked. We proceeded with the rehabilitation by fixed unit prosthesis in the areas of regeneration. In the posterior superior and inferior sector, removable partial dentures were installed, the lower one being retained by an implant using a locator-type abutment as retainer. The guided bone regeneration simultaneous to the dental implant placement is a highly predictable and reliable treatment in the treatment of partially edentulous patients with severe horizontal bone resorption.

Objetivos: Conocer los Niveles de autoestima, ansiedad y depresión en pacientes con sobrepeso y obesidad entre 8 a16 años de edad del Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño que acuden al servicio de endocrinología entre los meses de mayo a junio del 2012. Materiales y métodos: estudio de tipo descriptivo, prospectivo y transversal, se encuestó a 73 pacientes con sobrepeso y obesidad entre los 8 a 16 años de edad, atendidos en el servicio de endocrinología del Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño durante los meses de mayo y junio del 2012. Resultados: 35 (47.9 per cent) del total de pacientes tuvieron niveles elevados de ansiedad-estado; 16 (21.9 per cent) presentaron niveles altos de ansiedad-rasgo; 51 (69.9 per cent) no presentaron depresión; 36 (49.3 per cent) presentaron niveles normales de autoestima; 26 (55.3 per cent) del total de varones presentaron ansiedad-estado; 21 (51 per cent) pacientes entre 8 a 10 años presentaron niveles elevados de ansiedad-estado...

Durante los años de 1989 a 1995 se estudiaron 19 pacientes, todos varones VIH seropositivos con clínica inespecífica como: anemia, perdida de peso, malestar general y fiebre; se les realizó exámenes paraclínicos, BK de esputo y biopsia de ganglios. Catorce pacientes resultaron con tuberculosis pulmonar y cinco con tuberculosis extrapulmonar, todos recibieron tratamiento convencional para TBC prescrito por MSAS. Los resultados obtenidos en este trabajo plantea la revisión del esquema actual de tratamiento antituberculoso para pacientes VIH seropositivos
