The analysis of videotape utilization as the additional media for stusying the neuro-anatomy of medical students.

Videotapes in neuroanatomy produced by the School of Medical Illustration and Audiovisual Technology, become a popular learning media amongs the medical students. The questionnaire for using of these videoyapes by the 3rd year medical students of Siriraj Hospital were analysed in the year B.E. 2537. Seventy-eight percents of questionnaires were responded by the medical students and half of them had used the videotapes to assist in learning this subject. They found that the videotapes are very useful. It stimulus the interesting and easy to understanding and make them to get more detail of learning.

The analysis of medical videotape utilization at medical videotape library, school of medical illustration and audiovisual technology, faculty of medicine Siriraj Hospital for five-years period (B.E.2532 – B.E.2536).

The medical utilization at Medical Videotape Library, School of Medical Illustration and Audiovisual Technology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital for five-years period between B.E.2532 and B.E.2536 was analysed. The findings revealed 21,879 requests for 40,523 cassettes. The first most user were medical students (68.79% with 15,050 cassettes). The medical residents were the second most user (16.63% with 3,639 cassettes). The top three series of topics of medical videotape were anatomy (34.36% or 13,925 cassettes), basic sciences (17.05% or 6,908 cassettes) and medical (16.40% or 6,646 cassettes).
