RESUMEN
OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the therapeutic effect of triple therapy of clarithromycin,losec plus amoxicillin on eradiation of Hp METHODS:65 patients with duodenal ulcer and Helicobacter pylori infection were divided into two groups:Therapy group(n=32) receiving triple therapy (clarithromycin 500mg,losec 20mg and amoxicillin 1 000mg b i d )for one week with prolongation of use of losec for one week more;Control group(n=33) receiving losec 20mg and amoxicillin 1 000mg in the same manner of administration as therapeutic group The Hp was detected with rapid urease test and immunohistochemical method before and 4 wks after treatment RESULTS:The eradiation rate in therapy group(90 6%)was significantly higher than that in control group(69 7%) Side-effects were rarely found in both groups CONCLUSION:Triple therapy of clarithromycin,losec and amoxicillin is effective,safe and tolerable in eradiating Hp
