RESUMEN

Objective To assess the roles of the soft contact lens(SCL) in the treatment of bullous keratopathy. Methods Seventeen cases with bullous keratopathy wore SCL continuously and disposed it each month. All cases were followed up to observe whether the clinical symptoms were relieved and complications appear. Results Seventeen cases were followed up for 2 to 22 months. The results suggested that the clinical symptoms were relieved significantly without complications. Conclusion SCL can relieve the clinical symptoms and improve the life quality of patients with bullous keratopathy significantly.

RESUMEN

Objective:To investigate the role of early enteral nutrition in preventing functional delayed gastric emptying(FDGE)after radical distal subtotal gastrectomy. Methods:A retrospective review was performed in clinical data of patients with gastric cancer undergoing radical distal subtotal gastrectomy in our hospital from March 2004 to March 2008.There were 71 patients receiving early enteral nutrition (group EEN,n=71) after operation and 107 patients receiving parenteral nutrition (group PN,n=107) at the same time. The outcomes of FDGE between of two groups were compared. Results:The incidence of FDGE in group EEN was 1.4%(1/71).And the incidence of FDGE in group PN was 10.3%(11/107).There was significant difference between the group EEN and the group PN (P

RESUMEN

AIM: To investigate the effects of RUNX3 gene on the growth and drug sensitivity of SH-SY5Y cells.METHODS: The siRNA plasmid of RUNX3 was constructed and transfected into SH-SY5Y cells.Stable transfectants were identified by RT-PCR and Western blotting. The growth curve, cell cycle distribution, drug sensitivity assay and accumulation of adriamycin in cells were detected by MTT assay and flow cytometry. The expressions of cyclin D1,CDK4,CDK6,p21,p27,Bcl-2,Bax,P-gp and MRP were analyzed by Western blotting.RESULTS: mU6pro-RUNX3 siRNA was successfully constructed and transfected into SH-SY5Y cells.Down-regulation of RUNX3 significantly promoted the cellular proliferation, inhibit the drug sensitivity and intracellular adriamycin accumulation of cells, compared with that in the controls(P

RESUMEN

A method, which was a modification of that of Stothert et al, was adopted to establish chronic lung lymph fistula in goats from Chongqing area. The procedure consisted mainly that a segment of the thoracic duct was isolated to serve as the efferent of the caudal mediastinal lymph node to collect lung lymph, and an irrigation tube was inserted for the periodic admnistration of heparin solution to prevent the sanguinous lymph from clotting in the early postoperative days. A series of difficulties including high surgical mortality, stoppage of lymph flow, and chyle contamination of the lung lymph were overcome. A trial of the operated goats on steam inhalation injury precipitated instant increase of lung lymph f .ow and an elevation of lymph/plasma ratio of total protein concentration, which suggested that our animal model was suitable and effective in the study of the exchanges of fluid and protein in the lungs. The details of the technique were described and discussed.
