RESUMEN

IgA nephropathy (IgAN) is one of the most common primary glomerular diseases.Kidney biopsy is the gold standard for diagnosing IgAN,however, its invasiveness, contraindications and the risk of complications limit its timely diagnosis of IgAN.Therefore,a non-invasive,sensitive and specific biomarker is urgently needed for early diagnosis and treatment of IgAN.Peptidomics is a new discipline between proteomics and metabolomics. The polypeptide spectrum of organisms is closely related to its pathological and physiological status.Peptidome has great potential in the exploration of biomarkers.Researchers have conducted some explorations on the IgAN peptidome biomarkers. These peptidome markers showed good sensitivity and specificity in a single-center,small-sample range. However, the application of IgAN peptidome markers to the clinic requires more in-depth and meticulous research, such as the verification in large and multi-center samples, the development of different markers for different pathological grades of IgAN,and the development of different markers for IgAN in adults and children.
