We studied the effect of flutamide, a peripheral androgenic blocking agent, 500 mg daily for days in 7 non ovalating patients with hirsutism. Totañl and HDL cholestero, triglycerides, testosterone and dehydroepiandrosterone sulphate (S-DHEA) plasma levels were measured in patients and in 6 non ovulating control women of similar age and weight.
