The great understanding of the pathophysiology, prognosis and treatment of vascular diseases and pulmonary artery hypertension (PAH) over the past years, in association with new promising treatments, increased the number of patients arriving at the cardiac catheterization laboratory (cath lab) or hemodynamic services. The management of such special group of patients as PAH, the correct accomplishment of the techniques of right heart catheterization, which remain the gold standard for diagnosing PAH, and accurate interpretation of collected data are useful tools to clinical follow up.
