RESUMEN

@# ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of functional point injection on upper limbs disorder in cerebral palsy infants. Methods120 cases were divided into 2 groups and each with 60 cases. The treatment group was given rehabilitation and functional point injection (injecting VitB1>, VitB12 in the acu-points selected at the disorder muscles) and the control group was given rehabilitation alone. All the cases were assessed with Peabody Developmental Motor Scale Fine Motor (PDMS-FM) and Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS). ResultsThe scores of both PDMS-FM and MAS improved in the treatment group compared with the control group (P<0.05). ConclusionFunctional point injection can improve the recovery of upper limbs disorder in cerebral palsy infants.

RESUMEN

@#ObjectiveTo explore the state of misdiagnosis, missed diagnosis and excesseive diagnosis related to cerebral palsy(CP).Methods389 cases were retrospectively analyzed who were misdiagnosed, missed or escessively diagnosed related to CP as the first diagnosis in the inpatient and outpatient department from July 1999 to March 2010.ResultsAmong 389 cases, 156 cases were missed or misdiagnosed as nutritional disease, and 118 cases of other diseases were misdiagnosed as CP, while 115 cases who were normal children was excessively diagnosed as CP. The false diagnosis had relativity with children's age: doctors are more prone to make misdiagonsis when the children's age are smaller, while 293 cases were misdiagnosed before 12 months old (75.3%); 102 cases (65.4%) were misdiagnosed or missed as other diseases before September, 2004, while 87 cases (75.7%) were excessively diagnosed as CP after September, 2004. Frequency of misdiagnosis as CP reduced from 2004, and the proportion dropped from 55.9% to 44.1%.ConclusionIt is very important to master the diagnostic standard of CP. Both sides of the question are important, one side is to make early diagnosis and early treatment in order to achieve the best effect of rehabilitation, and the other side is to prevent misdiagnosis and excessive diagnosis which woud delay illness, or waste medical resources, increase the financial and psychological burden.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVETo study the influence of three kinds of retainers on the abutment movement of removable partial dentures (RPDs) for restoring the dentition with unilateral distal-extended tooth missing.

METHODSThe combined clasp, the extension clasp and the telescopic crown were designed to retain RPDs. When food chip was masticated between dentitions, the displacement of abutments was measured by a high-sensitive-laser-transferring-detector, and then the data was statistically analyzed.

RESULTSAll of abutments showed the inclination, torsion and vertical translocation. Of them, abutments with telescopic crowns had the lowest horizontal torsion (P < 0.01) and the highest vertical translocation (P < 0.01).

CONCLUSIONSCompared with the combined clasp and the extension clasp, the telescopic crowns enable abutments to bear the load more axial and the stress to be distributed more even, so the design of the telescopic crown may be considered more favourable for the health of abutments.

RESUMEN

Objective:To investigate the effects of abutment finish line curvature on fitness of metal ceramic crowns. Methods:Three types of finish line curvatures' abutments were prepared (1 mm-curvature, 3 mm-curvature and 5 mm-curvature). For each type of abutment, ten metal ceramic crowns were fabricated (five for facial-veneered type, five for full-veneered type). Then the fitness of the crowns were evaluated. Results:In as-cast group, both for facial-veneered type and full-veneered type, the greater the finish line curvature was, the larger gaps the mesial and distal margins of copings exhibited. Compared with labial and lingual margins, the mesial and distal margins of copings for 5 mm-curvature crowns in full-veneered type showed significantly larger gaps (respectively 35?8 micrometers and 36?8 micrometers) (P

RESUMEN

Objective: To analyze the influence of different inclination of cusp on the stress of an implant supported denture. Methods: A spiral CT was used to scan a corpus' head. The model of mandible, teeth and implant was established by ANSYS 6.1 software. The superstructure of the denture had three different inclination of cusp. The stress distribution of the models under loading was analyzed. Results: When bearing non central loading, the maximum equivalent stress (max EQV) of the abutment was situated at the first screw of the abutment. When bearing central loading, the maximum equivalent stress(max EQV) of the abutment was situated at the cervix. Under all loading, the max EQV of the implant was situated at the cervix, the max EQV of mandible was situated at the upper cortical layer around the cervix of the implant. Higher inclination of cusp and non central loading lead to higher stress. Conclusion: The location of the max EQV of the abutment is consistent with the location of the abutment fracture; lower inclination of cusp and flatsurface teeth are benefit to the stress distribution of the implantation.
