RESUMEN
The aim of the study was Assess mother's care for children having nephrotic syndrome through: Assess mother knowledge and assess mothers practice toward care for their children having nephrotic syndrome.. Research design was a descriptive research design. the study was conducted in out patient pediatrics nephrology clinics at children hospital affiliated to Ain Shams University. Purposive sample was composed of 100 mothers accompanied their children suffering from nephritic attending to the previously mentioned setting regardless their age, level of education, work places and residence.. Data collection were predesigned interviewing questionnaire consisted of part one for sociodemographic characteristic for the sample under the study, the second part focus on mother's knowledge about the disease, how it affects the child condition, signs and symptoms of the disease, investigation preformed for their child, and treatment regimen, and activity. revealed that most mothers had unsatisfactory knowledge about care of children with nephrotic syndrome. There was highly significant relation between mothers' knowledge about nephrotic syndrome relation to their age, education and occupation The study recommended developing a guideline for parents about nephritic syndrome
