RESUMEN
The aims of this work are to evaluate the shear bond strength and microleakage of sealant placed over universal bond material, and to assess the effect of salivary contamination on the bond strength and microleakage of sealant only, and sealant with universal bond. The results showed that, the use of Prisma bond beneath the sealant improved the bond strength, while salivary contamination reduced it significantly. Similarly, there was a tendency towards reduced leakage by using Prisma universal bond, however, there was no statistically significant difference, except in between group II [sealant + bond] and group III [sealant with salivary contamination]
