RESUMEN

Objective: To investigate the practicability and safety of transjugular liver biopsy (TJLB). Methods: Data of 53 cases with transjugular liver biopsy from June 2015 to June 2020 were collected. LABS-100 was used in all patients who underwent transjugular liver biopsy. Among them, 45 cases and eight were biopsied via hepatic vein and intrahepatic segment of the inferior vena cava. The surgical indications, related complications, and postoperative pathological diagnosis were analyzed and summarized. Results: TJLB was successful in all patients, with an average of 2.8 punctures per case. Satisfactory liver tissue and histopathological diagnosis was obtained in all patients. Two cases developed a cervical hematoma that was improved spontaneously, and one patient developed an intrahepatic hematoma that was improved after conservative treatment. Conclusion: TJLB is a practical and safe method for patients with contraindications to percutaneous liver biopsy.

RESUMEN

Objective To summarize the clincal effect of open reduction and internal fixation with locking-proximal-humerus-plate(LPHP)to treat proximal humeral fractures. Methods A total of 19 eases with proximal humeral fractures were treated with LPHP from August 2003 to February 2006 in this study.Their mean age was 58.6 years old.According to Neer classification, two cases were with two- part fractures, nine with three-part fractures and eight with four-part fractures including seven cases with osteoporosis.Redaction and fixation was done via deltopeetoral-groove approach.Bone graft was applied for five eases. Results The follow-up period was 3 to 32 months(mean 17 months). All cases were healed and the union period of 3-5 months.According to the Near shoulder score, the results showed that ten cases were excellent,6 cases good, with excellent rate of 84%.Conclusion The LPHP method is suitable for osteoporosis and comminuted proximal humeral fractures and enhances the treatment effect.

RESUMEN

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of suberselective uterine arterial embolization for uterine fibroids. Methods Uterine arterial embolization with golyvimylalcohol(PVA) particles or Iodized oil and Gelfoam or Pingyangmycin lipiodol and Gelfoam was performed in 182 patients with uterine fibroids. Results Bilateral and unilateral superselective uterine arterial embolization were performed in 173 cases and 9 cases respectively. 6~28 months (mean 11 months) after the procedure, complete disappearance of tumor(16 cases), an average shinkage of 67% in tumor volume(152 cases) and a mean 42% reduction of uterine volume were obtained in 168 followed-up cases. The clinical symptoms were relieved significantly. The main side effets were hypogastic pain(135/182).Conclusion Superselection uterine arterial embolization is an effective and microinvasive method in treating uterine fibroids.
