Homosexualidad, familia, violencia y drogadicción / Homosexuality, family, violence and drug abuse

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y transversal sobre homosexualidad con vista a determinar las causas o factores sociales que pueden incidir sobre la conducta de una orientación sexual homosexual, para lo cual se efectuó una entrevista con garantía de anonimato y un clima de confianza. Se formularon 35 preguntas previamente elaboradas por el equipo de investigación, que incluyeron como elementos claves en su orientación sexual homosexual, entre otros: drogadicción; violencia física, psíquica y verbal, así como la disfuncionalidad de la familia.

A descriptive and cross-sectional study on homosexuality was carried out in order to determine causes or social factors that can impact on the behavior of a homosexual sexual orientation, therefore an interview was made with anonimity guarantee and a confidence environment. Thirty five questions previously elaborated were asked by the research team that included as key elements in their homosexual sexual orientation drug abuse, physical, psychic and verbal violence, as well as family malfunction among others.

Influencia de algunos factores sociales en la tercera edad en la comunidad Pastorita / Influence of some social factors on the third age in Pastorita community

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, prospectivo y longitudinal, con un universo de 90 ancianos y se tomó una muestra del total de 64 miembros de los círculos de abuelos residentes en la comunidad del reparto Pastorita, de Santiago de Cuba, durante el trimestre octubre-diciembre de 1999. Se analizó en detalles una serie de factores sociales y su influencia en la tercera edad. Se concluyó que el 100 (por ciento) de los ancianos encuestados se mantiene incorporado a diferentes actividades en el hogar. A pesar de la creencia común de que en la sociedad contemporánea el anciano ha sido abandonado por su familia, nuestro trabajo demuestra que el mayor porcentaje convive con familiares; el 87,5 (por ciento) no sufrió crisis de la jubilación, pues encontraron bienestar y estimulación en otras actividades cotidianas. Para comprobar la existencia de estos factores se visitó a los abuelos en el círculo y en su hogar, y se aplicaron encuestas al respecto para la obtención de los datos y procesamiento de estos(AU)

He/she was carried out a descriptive, prospective and longitudinal study, with an universe of 90 old men and he/she took a sample of the total of 64 members of the circles of grandparents residents in the community of the allotment Shepherdess, of Santiago from Cuba, during the trimester October-December of 1999. It was analyzed in details a series of social factors and their influence in the third age. You concluded that the 100 (percent) of the interviewed old men he/she stays incorporate to different activities in the home. In spite of the common belief that in the contemporary society the old man has been abandoned by his family, our work demonstrates that the biggest percentage cohabits with family; the 87,5 (percent) it didn't suffer crisis of the jubilation, because they found well-being and stimulation in other daily activities. To check the existence of these factors he/she visited one another to the grandparents in the circle and in their home, and surveys were applied in this respect for the obtaining of the data and prosecution of these(AU)
