RESUMEN
O estudo procurou correlacionar as curvaturas da coluna vertebral nas posições deitada, em colchões de várias densidades, com a posição ortostática. Este estudo teve como objetivo verificar as alterações posturais da coluna vertebral, induzidas pelo uso de três colchões de diferentes densidades. Foram avaliadas 29 voluntárias, nos decúbitos ventral e lateral direito, bem como na posição ortostática, através da avaliação das imagens analisadas pela biofotogrametria computadorizada. Quando comparadas as angulações da coluna vertebral na posição ortostática com os decúbitos no colchão popular, verificou-se que houve diferença estatisticamente significante no aumento das curvaturas da coluna. Porém, quando comparou-se a posição ortostática com os decúbitos nos colchões de densidades 28 e 33 kg/m3, não foram encontradas diferenças significantes. O que permiti-nos inferir que nos colchões de densidade 28 e 33 kg/m3 houve uma maior aproximação dos valores angulares à postura ortostática apresentada pelas voluntárias. Conclui-se, também, que houve diferença estatística dos valores angulares da coluna vertebral entre os colchões de densidade 28 e 33 kg/m3 quando comparados com o colchão popular, tendo como parâmetro a posição ortostática.
The project tries to make a correlation between the curves of the vertebral column in a lying position, on mattresses of various densities, and the orthostatic position. The goal of this study is to verify the possible posture alterations of the vertebral column with three mattresses of different densities. Through evaluation of image analysis by means of computerized biophotogrammetry, twenty-nine volunteers were evaluated on the ventral the right side decubitus and in the orthostatic position. When compared the arching of the vertebral column in the orthostatic position with the decubitus in a popular mattress, a significant statistical difference was verified, in the increase of the curvatures of the column. However, when the orthostatic position was compared to the decubitus in mattresses with densities of 28 and 33 kg/m3, no significant difference was found. It can be suggested that the volunteer showed a closer orthostatic posture on mattresses with densities of 28 and 33 kg/m3. One can conclude that one finds a statistical difference between mattresses with densities of 28 and 33 kg/m3 when compared with popular mattress, having the orthostatic position as the parameter.
