RESUMEN

Objective:To assess the impact of the general education course entitled " The Basics of Radiation Protection" on enhancing undergraduates′ awareness of radiation safety, a questionnaire was utilized. Additionally, this study aims to propose novel strategies for improving health literacy among undergraduates, fostering the development of innovative, talented individuals with reasonable knowledge structures and strong practical abilities. Methods:From 2021 to 2022, 127 undergraduates from all colleges of Shandong University took the general course" The Basics of Radiation Protection". To compare the learning effects of the medical and non-medical students, invitations to participate in this study were extended to 101 (79.5%) students from School of Medicine and School of Electrical Engineering. A questionnaire survey was conducted to determine and compare the changes in the students’ basic cognition of radiation safety and protection before and after learning the course. The aim was to evaluate the teaching effectiveness and significance of the course. Results:From 2021 to 2022, 94 undergraduates from School of Medicine and School of Electrical Engineering accepted the invitation and voluntarily completed questionnaires twicely, accounting for 74.0% of the total number of selected students. The questionnaire survey showed that through course learning, the cognitive level of radiation protection among college students had significantly improved. The Likert quantification scores befroe taking the course were 3.59±1.35, 3.81±1.17, 3.45±1.16, 4.11±1.13, 3.62±1.05, 3.98±1.24 and after completing the course 4.94±0.32, 4.87±0.32, 4.96±0.21, 4.98±0.15, 4.81±0.39, 4.98±0.15, respectively, with the difference being statistically significant ( t=6.55, 5.50, 9.10, 5.36, 7.60, 5.34, P< 0.05). Further analysis revealed that different professional backgrounds affected students′ understanding of radiation safety and protection: before learning this course, medical students were superior to electrical engineering students in their knowledge of ionizing radiation ( t=5.69, 4.06, 6.46, 6.27, 7.78, P < 0.001). After taking the course, the cognitive level of students from both majors had considerably improved, but there was no significant difference ( P> 0.05). Feedback on the course learning showed that the awareness of " routine radiation protection" had significantly improved (96.8%), pseudoscience and pseudoinformation could be identified (93.6%), " nuclear power" -related fears had been dispelled (95.7%), and the concept of " cherishing life" had been effectively established (91.5%). Conclusions:The general education course " The Basics of Radiation Protection" has effectively improved the students′ awareness of radiation safety, strengthened their knowledge regarding radiation safety and protection, and provided a new avenue for cultivating innovative talents on a well-structured knowledge base. The course would be worth further promoting and applying in the education of undergraduates with different backgrounds and taking different majors.

RESUMEN

@#Objective    To investigate the operation of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), the use of TAVR instruments and the current situation of TAVR-related nursing in our country, to reveal the characteristics of TAVR in various hospitals in our country, and to provide reference data for improving perioperative nursing and industry development of TAVR. Methods    A questionnaire survey was conducted among the head nurses of the cardiac catheterization laboratories of 51 hospitals in China that carried out TAVR operations, with a total of 5 items and 23 questions. The current situation of TAVR operation methods, intraoperative instruments and nursing care in China were analyzed. Results    The number of hospitals in China which started conducting TAVR and the beginning year were: 2 in 2010, 1 in 2012, 1 in 2013, 1 in 2015, 11 in 2016, 13 in 2017, 15 in 2018 and 7 in 2019; the number of transfemoral TAVR in 2019: 32 (62.75%) hospitals conducted on less than 20 patients, 7 (13.73%) hospitals 20-<50 patients, 6 (11.76%) hospitals 50-100 patients and 6 (11.76%) hospitals more than 100 patients; TAVR strategies adopted by most hospitals were: general anesthesia (90.20%), the use of vascular sealers (80.39%), backing by cardiac surgeon (74.51%) and using homemade prosthetic valves. Conclusion     At present, the number of TAVR carried out in Chinese hospitals is still far behind that of developed countries in Europe and the United States. Our country has adopted the form of multi-disciplinary cardiac team cooperation and formed a TAVR nursing model with Chinese characteristics.

RESUMEN

Objective To explore the role of granulocyte macrophage colonystimulating factor(GM-CSF),C reaction protein(CRP)and tumor necrosis factor-?lpha(TNF?)in infant cytomegalovirus hepatitis. Methods Cytomegalovirus DNA of 56 cases of children with cytomegalovirus hepatitis and 51 normal controls in blood were detected using FQ-PCR.The levels of GM-CSF and TNF?in serum were assayed with ELISA,and CRP was measured with immunoturbidmemetry assay. Results The levels of M-CSF,CRP and TNF? in serum of infant cytomegalovirus hepatitis were higher obviously than those in serum of the normal control group.Conclution M-CSF,CRP and TNF? participate in pathological immune response and anti-infective immunity of cytomegalovirus hepatitis.

RESUMEN

Objective:To observe the effect of CD34 immunoaffinity column on the isolation of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells of cord blood and the proliferatory and expansion characteristics of CD34 + cells in vitro.Methods:CD34 +cells were isolated from cord blood using CD34 immunoaffinity column.Cell surface antigens were analysed by FACS.The separated and un separated cells were cultured with human hematopoietic growth factors(HGFS)in liquid culture system and CFU GEMM culture system.Results:CD34 + cells were enriched with a purity of 49.62%?17.69% and a recovery of 54.38%?11.91% using the immunoaffinity column. The separated CD34 +cells and cord blood MNC expanded to 561.00 folds and 44.44 folds respectively after cultured with HGFS for 20 days. The percentages of CD34 + cells in separated group and control were 53.38% and 7.91% respectively after cultured for 12 days. The number of CFU GEMM in separated group was significantly higher than that in control(P

RESUMEN

AIM: In order to explore the mechanism of the GC - like effect of Tsiao Shaihutang (TSS), the down - regulation of glucocorticoid receptor and mRNA by TSS were studied. METHODS: GR sites were determined by receptor radio ligand binding assay method. At the same time, GR mRNA level was determined by quantitative reverse- transcriptive polymerase chain reaction (RT- PCR) method. RESULTS: (1) GR sites and GR mRNA level were down - regulated significantly after GC, TSS (P < 0.01 ) treatment . (2) GR sites and GR mRNA level in GC plus TSS group were obviously higher than those in GC group (P < 0.01 ). CONCLUSIONS: These data suggested that TSS can significantly down- regulate GR and GR mRNA level.

RESUMEN

The changes of intracoronary electrocardiogram (IC-ECG) and surface electro-cardiogram (S-ECG) were recorded simultaneously during percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty(PTCA) in 33 cases of coronary heart diseases with 41 vessel lesions. The results sug-gested that ST-segment change rate on IC-ECG(90. 2%) was higher than that on S-ECG(56%). ST-segment elevation on IC-ECG was earlier and more significant than that on S-ECG. The IC-ECG appeared to be more sensitive than S-ECG for detecting myocardial ischemia. The technique for recording IC-ECG is simple and it can help to perfome the PTCA successfully.
