Assessment of different techniques for repositioning of the impacted maxillary canine

Fifty nine cases of impacted maxillary canines were transplanted. They were divided into two groups according to the method of fixation. Group I, 36 cases of impacted maxillary canine were fixed by extrabony fixation [arch bar and eyelet wire]. Group II, 23 cases of impacted maxillary canine were fixed by intrabonv fixation [transosseous wiring], were transplanted teeth were fixed to, either the buccal or palatal cortical plate of bone.
