RESUMEN
El uso, abuso y la adicción al alcohol ha sido y es un serio y creciente problema que afecta a muchos jóvenes a nivel mundial Objetivo: determinar el consumo de alcohol en adolescentes del nivel medio superior. Material y métodos: estudio descriptivo y transversal, en una muestra de 304 escolares. Se utilizó el test de identificación de los trastornos debido al consumo de alcohol. Resultados: el 62,8% refirió consumir alcohol, de ellos el 52,3% son hombres y 47,6% mujeres; el 66,14% se encuentra en el consumo de riesgo de alcohol, el 12,5% presentó síntomas de dependencia y el 21,35% consumo perjudicial. Los hombres mostraron mayor proporción de consumo de alcohol, las mujeres presentaron ligeramente una mayor proporción que los hombres de síntomas de dependencia (7,8%) y consumo perjudicial (11,5%). Conclusiones: más de la mitad de la muestra de adolescentes en este estudio consumió bebidas alcohólicas excediendo los límites del consumo considerado como de bajo riesgo.
The use, abuse and the addiction to the alcohol has been and is a serious and increasing problem that affects manyyoung persons worldwide. Objetive: To determine the consumption of alcohol in teenagers of the average top level. Material and Methods: Descriptive and transverse study, in a sample of 304 students. There was in use the test ofidentification of the disorders due to the consumption of alcohol. Results: 62,8 % refirió to consume alcohol, of them52,3 % is men and 47,6 % women; 66,14 % is in the consumption of risk of alcohol, 12,5 % presented symptoms ofdependence and 21,35 % harmful consumption. The men showed major proportion of consumption of alcohol, thewomen presented lightly a major proportion that the men of symptoms of dependence (7,8 %) and harmful consumption (11,5 %). Conclusions. More than the half of the sample of teenagers in this study consumed alcoholic drinks exceeding the limits of the consumption considered like of low risk.
