Objective To identify the influencing factors of operation time of hand-assisted laparoscopic living donor nephrectomy, and to analyze the relationship between influencing factors and the severity of postoperative complications. Methods Clinical data of 91 donors who underwent hand-assisted laparoscopic nephrectomy were retrospectively analyzed. The correlation between preoperative baseline data of donors and operation time was analyzed. The relationship between operation time and postoperative complications was assessed and the threshold of operation time was determined. Results Multiple donor renal arteries, thick perirenal and posterior renal fat, metabolic syndrome, high Mayo adhesive probability (MAP) score and Clavien-Dindo score prolonged the operation time. By analyzing the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, we found that when the operation time was ≥138 min, the incidence of postoperative complications of donors was significantly increased (P<0.05). Conclusions For donors with multiple renal arteries, thick perirenal and posterior renal fat, metabolic syndrome and high MAP score and Clavien-Dindo score, experienced surgeons should be selected to make adequate preoperative preparation and pay close attention after surgery, so as to timely detect postoperative complications and reduce the severity of complications, enhance clinical prognosis of the donors.

Objective:To analyse the property of voltage-dependent potassium 〔K(v)〕 channel in healthy people′s peripheral lymphocyte so as to contribute the control for property alteration under some pathological condition,and to try to find the new subset of this channel.Methods:Patch-clamp whole cell recording technique was used.Results:In the recorded 39 cells,activated voltage of the channels was -40.3±2.5 Mv.No inactivation phenomenon appeared under repeated stimulation.The closing time of the channels was 116.3+8.2 ms under the repolarization,and the current could be inhibited by 10 mmol/L TEA.Conclusion:There might be only one type of K(v) channel in human peripheral blood lymphocytes,and its properties quite resumble the type of n K(v) channel in mice.

Objective The purpose of this study was to compare the functional and morphological changes in the cervical spine with protrusion of cervical disc (PCD) under different directions of traction. Methods MRI scanning was used to study the effect of different directions of traction on the movement of protrusive disc，compression index of spinal cord and changes of intervetebral space,as well as the cases with degeneration. Results Differences were found in the effect of different directions of traction. Most significant partial reduction of the protrusive disc was experienced in flexion traction. Both flexion and extension traction caused significant decrease in the index of compression of spinal cord. Extension traction caused marked narrowing of the posterior intervertebral space in the group with decreased disc size,while no difference between the groups with and without decreased disc size when given flexion traction. There was no difference in the anterior intervertebral space between the two directions of traction. No morphological change was observed in cases with degeneration using either direction of traction. Conclusion PCD could caused the change in the fine morphology of normal vertebral joints. The traction direction should be chosen according to the condition of the individual case. The compression index could better reflect the nature of spinal cord injury than the size of the disc protrusion. Traction would not give much benefit in cases with degeneration.
