RESUMEN

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To investigate the effects of isoliquiritigenin on the migration and invasion of human glioma stem cells and the underlying mechanism.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>The stem cell markers CD133 and Nestin in SHG44 human glioma stem cells were examined with immunofluorescence microscopy. The migration and invasion ability of glioma stem cells was determined by transwell method. The mRNA and protein expression of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-2 and MMP-9 were detected by real-time RT-PCR and Western blot, respectively.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>CD133 and Nestin were positive in SHG44 cells. The number of migrated cells in SHG44 cells treated with 20 and 80 μmol/L isoliquiritigenin for 48 h were significantly lower than that in control group (76±5 and 42±4 vs. 85±6, all <0.01), and the number of migrated cells in 80 μmol/L isoliquiritigenin group was lower than that in 20 μmol/L isoliquiritigenin group (<0.01). The numbers of cells crossing through membrane in 20 and 80 μmol/L isoliquiritigenin groups were 190±13 and 130±9, respectively, which were significantly lower than that in control group (230±14, all <0.01), and the number of crossed cells in the 80 μmol/L isoliquiritigenin group was lower than that in 20 μmol/L isoliquiritigenin group (<0.01). The mRNA and protein expression levels of MMP-2 and MMP-9 were decreased compared with control group (<0.05 or <0.01), and the expression levels in 80 μmol/L isoliquiritigenin group were lower than those in 20 μmol/L isoliquiritigenin group (<0.05 or <0.01).</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>Isoliquiritigenin exhibits antitumor effects on glioma stem cells by inhibiting cell migration and invasion, which may be related to the down-regulation of MMP-2 and MMP-9.</p>

RESUMEN

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are vesicles like body of phospholipid bilayer membrane, which are able to mediate the transfer of genetic material. There are receptors, proteins and nucleic acids in the body, with carrying tumor genetic material, regulating tumor microenvironment, promoting tumor angiogenesis and mediating tumor cell metastasis. At present, it is found that there is a close re-lationship between the secretion and the metastasis of lung cancer. The main aspects of the brain metastasis of the lung cancer medi-ated by the exocrine body include the regulation of the microenvironment of the brain, the destruction of the blood-brain barrier, and the regulation of tumor cell pathology. The study on the relationship between the tumor and the metastasis of lung cancer may pro-vide more molecular targets for the development, diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer.

RESUMEN

The manuscript introduced the overview, training objectives, policy advantages, training process, curriculum, examination of the Australian College in Rural and Remote Medicine and further contrasted that with China's domestics. The authors held that Australia's training is better targeted due to its colleges tailored to this end;the training duration for general practitioners of rural and remote areas is longer, and the training schedule is reasonable;the curriculum design and training content are more targeted;and the homogeneous training is better achieved as its examination is run by the college in a standardized manner. The authors therefore hold that China should develop detailed regulations for general practitioners from rural and remote areas and explore the feasibility of setting up second-level disciplines institutes for internal medicine, surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, pediatrics and general at national and provincial level.

RESUMEN

Stem cell treatment for traumatic brain injury is the focus of current research. But there are still a lot of problems for stem cell transplantation, for example Immune rejection, low survival rate, and so on.Research on the recruitment of autologous bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells to the injured part, and directionally induce the differentiation of neurons to repair the damage, thus become a research hotspot for the craniocerebral injury treatment.Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and its receptor are widely distributed in the central nervous system.VEGF can promote cerebral microcirculation remodeling and induce MSCs to different toward the blood vessel endothelium. It can also inhibit neuronal death and apoptosis and directionally recruit and induce autologous neural progenitor cells and MSCs to different toward nerve cells.Formed between VEGF,MSCS and neurotrophin network mechanisms to promote brain repair. This self repair treatment is expected to be a good prospect of research plans.

RESUMEN

Histone codes are characterized by the type, location, and modification of amino acids in proteins. Recent research has shown that histone codes are closely related to glioblastoma (GBM). In GBM cells, the combined effects of various effector proteins and histone-modified target sites control the state of chromatins, which further affects the epigenetic phenomena, including GBM cell DNA replication and gene expression and regulation. GBM histone code information exists in histone acetylation, methylation, phos-phorylation, ubiquitination, and other post-translational modification processes. Briefly, this study on the relationship between histone code and GBM provides further molecular targets to develop the clinical diagnosis and treatment of GBM.

RESUMEN

Objective To investigate a new method for detecting fetal cardiac arrhythmia. Methods Used two kinds of superposition:①left ventricular outflow tract color flow image with right atrium wall motion curves superposition,②left ventricular outflow tract color flow image with left ventricular inflow tract colour flow image superposition,167 cases of fetal arrhythmia were detected. Results Among them,84 fetuses with atrial premature heat,39 with ventricular premature beat,23 with temporal sinus bradycardia,12 with sinus tachycardia,4 with Ⅱ°atrioventricular block(AVB),2 with Ⅲ°AVB,3 with atrial fibrillation. Conclusions Using superposition of M-mode echocardiagraphy with color Doppler imaging to diagnose fetal cardiac arrhythmia is easier and more accurate.

RESUMEN

A double feedback current source for biologic impedance measurement is designed in order to solve the problem on the poor constant-current characteristic under higher frequency and meet the request for the ability to eliminate the direct current signal. The voltage controlled current source based on the second generation current conveyor theory is presented, which has good output impedance and anti-direct current characteristics by using the direct current feedback unit and input buffer. The closed loop control of current amplitude is implemented by means of the direct digital synthesizer and multiplication demodulation technique, which improves the constant-current characteristic of the current source.
