RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Serum levels of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) can be used to predict cardiovascular injury.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the serum levels of hs-CRP in a rabbit model of atherosclerosis following repeated long-termexposure to positive acceleration and to predict the risk of cardiovascular injury.METHODS: Twenty-four New Zealand purebred rabbits were randomly divided into a positive acceleration group and a controlgroup. Rabbits in the positive acceleration group were exposed to +4 g rotation for 20 seconds with an acceleration of 1 g/s. Therotation interval was 5 minutes and totally three rotations were daily performed for 3 days per week. 0.5 g rotation was addedevery week, and by week 4, +6 g rotation was added, and the exposure lasted for 40 seconds.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Exposure to positive acceleration yielded significant effects on serum level of hs-CRP in rabbitswith atherosclerosis compared with before exposure (P 0.05). The interaction between exposure to positive acceleration and exposure time also did not produce significanteffects on serum level of hs-CRP (P > 0.05). Hyperplastic foam cells in the aortic tunica intima and the superficial layer of mediaincreased with the prolongation of exposure to positive acceleration. Repeated long-term exposure to positive acceleration maylead to a long-term high serum level of hs-CRP in rabbits.

RESUMEN

The arterial lesions of lower extremities in patients with diabetic foot ulcers were extensive. The majority of below-knee arteries showed severe stenosis, even complete occlusion.Interventional therapy of femoral artery was effective in improving arterial blood perfusion and remission of the pain and numbness. After therapy, the skin temperature and ankle brachial index (ABI) were increased, healing of ulcer was enhanced and intermittent claudication was ameliorated.Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty of femoral artery was effective in improving arterial blood perfusion of the lower extremities with foreseen curing efficacy.

RESUMEN

Objective To evaluate the effect of metformin on endothelial function in women with polycystic ovary syndrome. Methods 30 women with PCOS were enrolled.Metformin were taken 500mg three times a day contiguously using 3 months. Before and after treatment flow-mediated EDD function and other clinical metabolic parameters, such as serum endothelin-1,insulin,testosterone,glucose,lipid,waist-hip ratio, body mass index. Results After the treatment of metformin in study group,WHR,BMI and endothelin-1 have no significant difference compared with before the treatment(P>0.05).But the changes of brachial artery diameter and HDL were increasing and LH/FSH,T,insulin,HOMA-IR,TG and LDL were significant decreasing after the treatment in study group compared with before the treatment(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in WHR,BMI,endothelin-1,the changes of brachial artery diameter,LH/FSH,T,insulin,HOMA-IR,TG and LDL between the study group after the treatment with the control group.Meanwhile,HDL were significant increasing in the study group after the treatment compared with the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion There are impaired endothelial function and insulin resistance in women with PCOS.After the treatment with metrormin, the endothelial function and insulin resistance could be improved.

RESUMEN

@#Objective To observe the effect of intraaortic balloon pump (IABP) on tolerance of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), life signs of patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) during emergency PCI performed.Methods46 AMI patients complicated with or without cardiogenic shock were put on IABP at same time of coronary angiography when emergency PCI performed, and tolerance of PCI, blood pressure, heart rate and immediate death rate of patients were observed before and after operation.Results45 cases had IABP successful and 1 case failed. 40 patients (86.96%) could endure whole emergency PCI process, the total death rate was 10.87%. 66.67% of patients with obvious cardiogenic shock could endure emergency PCI, the death rate was 33.33%; 94.12% of patients without cardiogenic shock could endure PCI treatment and the death rate was 2.94%. 35 cases completed PCI treatment and the successful rate was 85.36%.ConclusionPCI supported by IABP can prevent AMI patients from cardiogenic shock, ease symptoms of patients complicated with cardiogenic shock, improve the tolerance and successful rate of the PCI treatment, and decrease immediate death rate.

RESUMEN

Objective: To examine the relationship between parental rearing and adolescent personality traits. Methods: A sample of 637 adolescents was tested by CAPI and EMBU. Results: Neuroticism of girls is higher than that of boys, but interpersonal harmony, face and defensiveness of boys is higher than those of girls. Extraversion, openness and agreeableness of only child is higher than those of other adolescents. Most correlations between parental rearing and Adolescent personality traits are significant. Parental warmth and understanding have positive effect on adolescent extraversion, agreeableness and conscientiousness, and father punishment and mother refusal have negative effect on adolescent agreeableness and interpersonal relationship. Conclusion: Adolescent personality is greatly affected by parental rearing.

RESUMEN

Percutaneous myocardial revascularization (PMR),building on the succeeds of transmyocardial laser revascularization (TMR),has developed that allows TMR-like channels to be cradated via a percutaneous approach. This catheter based approach avoids the morbidity associated with general anesthesia and thoractomy or thoracoscopy. It also avoids transmural treatment of the myocardium by the laser.Although its mechanism remains unclear, many patients with intractable angina and non-bypassable coronary artery disease have benefited from the new system. It is hoped that PMR will mimic the clinical benefit of TMR,and will gradually become a main method in treating end-staged coronary artery disease.

RESUMEN

Objective To explore the angiographic characteristic of lower extremities of patients with diabetic foot. Methods The angiographic results of 35 lower extremities of diabetic patients, the characteristics of respective clinical stages and the stenosis degree at different arterial segments were undergone statistical analysis. Results (1) A lotal of 210 arterial segments were divided into the above-knee and the below-knee section. There was significant difference in stenosis degree between the two sections (P
