RESUMEN

The portable light-weight magnetic resonance imaging system can be deployed in special occasions such as Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and ambulances, making it possible to implement bedside monitoring imaging systems, mobile stroke units and magnetic resonance platforms in remote areas. Compared with medium and high field imaging systems, ultra-low-field magnetic resonance imaging equipment utilizes light-weight permanent magnets, which are compact and easy to move. However, the image quality is highly susceptible to external electromagnetic interference without a shielded room and there are still many key technical problems in hardware design to be solved. In this paper, the system hardware design and environmental electromagnetic interference elimination algorithm were studied. Consequently, some research results were obtained and a prototype of portable shielding-free 50 mT magnetic resonance imaging system was built. The light-weight magnet and its uniformity, coil system and noise elimination algorithm and human brain imaging were verified. Finally, high-quality images of the healthy human brain were obtained. The results of this study would provide reference for the development and application of ultra-low-field magnetic resonance imaging technology.

RESUMEN

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of radiofrequency introduction of L-vitamin C in patients with melasma. Methods:From March to June 2019, 20 patients with melasma were admitted to the Department of Dermatology, the Seventh Medical Center of PLA General Hospital, including 19 females and 1 male, aged 30-60 years, with an average age of 43.5 years. All patients were treated with 22 percent of L-vitamin C once a week, a total of 8 times of treatment and followed up for 12 weeks. Each subject was assessed with standardized clinical photo, skin tests (VISIA skin image analyzer and CK multifunctional skin tester) and patient self-assessment. In addition, the adverse reactions were recorded. Results:Physician evaluation and patient self-evaluation showed that skin symptoms were improved obviously after treatment. 90% of the subjects thought that all of the skin moisture, pores, fine lines, glossiness, and color spots were improved after 12 weeks. The skin texture, ultraviolet stain and the brown spots which were detected with VISIA skin image analyzer were all improved after one week and one month. Difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). Skin glossiness was significantly improved, skin moisture content increased and melanin decreased, which were detected with CK multifunctional skin tester. The differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). But there was no significant change in transdermal water loss and red pigment index ( P>0.05). Conclusions:22% L-vitamin C can be used to treat melasma and improve photoaging safely without affecting skin barrier function.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE@#To explore the effect of small interfering RNA (siRNA)-mediated CEP55 gene silencing on the proliferation of mouse spermatogonia.@*METHODS@#Six patients with azoospermia diagnosed to have maturation arrest (3 cases) or normal spermatogenesis (3 cases) based on testicular biopsy between January 1 and December 31, 2017 in our center were examined for differential proteins in the testicular tissue using isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation (iTRAQ), and CEP55 was found to differentially expressed between the two groups of patients. We constructed a CEP55 siRNA for transfection in mouse spermatogonia and examined the inhibitory effects on CEP55 expressions using Western blotting and qPCR. The effect of CEP55 gene silencing on the proliferation of mouse spermatogonia was evaluated with CCK8 assay.@*RESULTS@#In the testicular tissues from the 6 patients with azoospermia, iTRAQ combined with LC/MS/MS analysis identified over two hundred differentially expressed proteins, among which CEP55 showed the most significant differential expression between the patients with maturation arrest and those with normal spermatogenesis. The cell transfection experiment showed that compared with the cells transfected with the vehicle or the negative control sequence, the mouse spermatogonia transfected with CEP55 siRNA showed significantly lowered expressions of CEP55 mRNA and protein ( < 0.05) and significantly decreased proliferation rate as shown by CCK8 assay ( < 0.05).@*CONCLUSIONS@#CEP55 may play a key role in spermatogenesis and may serve as a potential therapeutic target for non-obstructive azoospermia with maturation arrest.

RESUMEN

Objective To discuss the change trends of pathogen of severe hand, foot and mouth dis-ease(HFMD) in Chaoshan area during 2011 to 2015. Methods All 1410 throat swabs of cases who were diagnosed as HFMD were collected from children hospitalized in our hospital during May 2011 to August 2015. Enterovirus were detected by nest RT-PCR,and the results of these positive cases diagnosed as severe HFMD were analyzed. Results (1) There were 216 positive cases(67. 29%,216/321) diagnosed as severe HFMD,including 53. 70% ( 116/216 ) enterovirus 71 ( EV71 ), 19. 91% ( 43/216 ) coxsackievirus A16 (CA16),12. 04%(26/216) CA6,8. 80%(19/216) CA10,3. 24%(7/216) CA4,0. 93%(2/216) coxsack-ievirus B5, 0. 46% ( 1/216 ) enteric cytopathogenic human orphan virus and 0. 93% ( 2/216 ) unclassified samples were unclassified to species. (2) Five cases of critical HFMD were all caused by EV71. (3) The EV71 positive samples were given priority to severe cases ( 51. 79%,116/224 ) and the non EV71 positive samples were given priority to mild cases ( 82. 08%, 458/558 ) , the difference was statistically significant (χ2 =91. 68,P<0. 001). (4) The change trends of severe HFMD year by year were consistent with the change trends of EV71 composition, and were highly correlated(Rs=0. 9,P=0. 037). (5) Severe HFMD caused by non EV71 virus gradually increased. Conclusion Severe HFMD in Chaoshan area during 2011 to 2015 were mainly caused by EV71,non EV71 viruses including CA16,CA6,CA10,CA4,coxsackievirus B5, enteric cytopathogenic human orphan virus 6 could also develop to severe HFMD. The composition ratio of severe HFMD increased accordingly in the year of EV71 as the dominant pathogen. The proportion of severe HFMD caused by non EV71 virus gradually increased after 2013 year.
