RESUMEN

Objective To evaluate the malnutrition status and analyze the changing trends of nutritional status among primary and middle school students in poor rural areas of Chongqing from 2013 to 2019, and to provide scientific bases for formulating measures to improve students' nutrition status. Methods In 12 poor rural areas in Chongqing, a random sampling was adopted. At least 10% of elementary and middle schools were randomly selected in each area each year. At least 40 students were sampled in each grade to measure their height and weight. The nutritional status of the students was evaluated and the changing trend of nutritional status in the five years from 2013 to 2019 was analyzed. Results From 2013 to 2019, the prevalence rate of malnutrition showed a downward trend. The prevalence rate of malnutrition of boys was higher than that of girls. The prevalence rate of growth retardation decreased more significantly than that of emaciation. Conclusion The status of malnutrition among students in poor areas of Chongqing had been improved, but had not been eliminated yet. Further attention should be paid to the changes of students' nutritional status and timely measures should be taken to improve the students' nutritional and health status.

RESUMEN

Objective@#To investigate the influencing factors of smoking tendency of adolescents and to analyze the influence of e-cigarette on smoking tendency of teenagers and the possible interaction, to provide evidence for tobacco control measures.@*Methods@#Stratified multistage cluster probability sampling method was used to select 6 178 students from junior middle school, high school and vocational high school students in Shanghai for questionnaire survey from September to October 2019. Students with smoking tendency were taken as case group, adolescents with same sex and similar age(within 1 year) were mathed in 1∶3 ratio. A total of 631 adolescents with smoking tendency and 1 870 non-smoking tendency were included in the study. Conditional Logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors and possible interactions.@*Results@#After adjusting gender, age and other covariates, conditional Logistic analysis results showed that the smoking tendency of middle school students was associated with factors such as their friends smoking, trying cigarettes and trying e-cigarettes. The OR value and 95%CI were 3.26(2.47-4.29), 5.90(3.76-9.24), and 3.28(2.11-5.10), respectively. The interaction analysis results showed that the OR value and 95%CI of the multiplying interaction between friends smoking and trying e-cigarettes, trying smoking and trying e-cigarettes were 8.62(4.90-15.17) and 12.01(6.02-23.95), respectively. There was no additive interaction.@*Conclusion@#Tobacco control interventions, such as e-cigarette harm publicity and peer education, can help to change teenagers smoking tendency and further reduce their tobacco use rate.

RESUMEN

Objective To establish an ELISA for quantitative determination of decoy receptor 3 (DcR3) in human plasma. Methods A solid phase double antibody sandwich method was established for quantitative determination of DcR3.The anti-DcR3 antibody was immobilized onto ELISA plate.DcR3 in samples was captured by anti-DcR3 on ELISA plate and then detected by biotin-anti-DcR3 and subsequent peroxidase-labeled streptavidin, and the color was developed by adding substrate. The standard DcR3 samples on the same plate were detected simultaneously to calculate the DcR3 concentrations in unknown samples. The sensitivity, specificity, precision, recovery, linearity and DcR3 range in normal human adults were assessed. Results The sensitivity of the developed assay was 0.051 ng/mL.The intra-coefficient of variation (CV) was less than 10% and inter-CV was less than 15%.The average recovery rate was 90.50%.When 2-fold amount of anti-TNF-α was added into the coated antibodies,10-fold amount of biotin-labeled anti-LIGHT,antiFAS or anti-TNF-α was added into the detection antibodies,or 10 fold amount of purified LIGHT protein was added into the standard DcR3 samples as competitor,no disturbing effects on standard curve were found. The linear range of the assay was from 0.25 to 16 ng/mL (r≥0.98).The concentration of DcR3 tested in 128 plasma samples from healthy adults was (0.21 ± 0.05) ng/mL with 95% CI ranged from 0.14 to 0.28 ng/mL and no difference of age and sex was found. Conclusion The established ELiSA for determining plasma DcR3 exhibited high specificity, sensitivity, precision, fine linearity and wide detecting range. This method could be used for quantification of DcR3 in plasma.

RESUMEN

Aim To investigate the effect of genistein ( GEN) against Aβ( 25 -35 )-induced PC12 cells in regulation of Fas pathway through the activation of JNK. Methods Aβ( 25 -35 )-induced PC12 cells model was established. MTT and fluorescence activated cell sorting to analyze cell viability and apoptotic rate. Fluorescence quantitative PCR was used to detect Fas apoptotic pathways related gene Fas, FasL, caspase-3 and caspase-8 mRNA relative expression. Spectropho-tometry was used to detect caspase-3 and caspase-8 en-zyme activity. Western blot was adopted to detect JNK and p-JNK protein expression level changes. Results GEN attenuated Aβ( 25-35 )-induced upregulation of Fas and FasL, caspase-3 and caspase-8 mRNA lev-el, caspase-3 and caspase-8 enzyme activity, and sig-nificantly reduced Aβ(25-35) induced JNK phospho-rylation level. Conclusion GEN can protect PC12 cells from Aβ(25-35)-induced apoptosis via reducing Aβ( 25 -35 )-induced phosphorylation of JNK activa-tion, and then inhibit the JNK dependent Fas apoptotic pathway.

RESUMEN

Purpose To investigate the relationship between the changes of the thickness of retina in macula and the abnormalities in multifocal electroretinograms (mERG) in diabetic retinopathy. Methods mERG and optical coherence tomography (OCT) examination were performed in 38 patients (60 eyes) with DR (phase Ⅲ~Ⅳ). The data were processed with software SPSS and line relation analysis was done. Results The response densities of N 1, P 1 and N 2 in central 5? area was significantly negative related to the thickness of neuroretina in macular fovea (correlation efficient -0.252~-0.266, P
