RESUMEN
Endoplasmic reticulum (E R) is an important organelle in eukaryotic cells. Under some pathological factors, changes in the intracellular environment lead to ER stress. In the early period, ERS is alleviated mainly by activating the unfolded protein response, while long-term sustained ERS causes apoptosis. It has been found that a selective autophagy called ER-phagy participated in maintaining ER homeostasis by scavenging protein polymers and damaged ER. As a newly discovered selective autophagy, ER-phagy is involved in the occurrence and development of several diseases. The relevant research of ER-phagy is reviewed as follows.
