RESUMEN

As a treasure resource of novel drug lead compounds, how to rapidly and high-efficiently screen and isolate active components from natural products is critical. Thanks to its high resolution, high automation and flexible integration, online two-dimensional liquid chromatography has great potential for screening active ingredients from complex matrices by integrating a highly specific bio-recognition process into a two-dimensional liquid chromatography system before, on or after the column separation. This review comprehensively summarized recent developments, applications and shortcomings of online two-dimensional liquid chromatography for natural product screening from different integration modes, including pre-column, on-column and post-column screening methods.

RESUMEN

The chemical constituents from the fruiting bodies of Tremella sanguinea were separated and purified by column chromatography on silica gel,ODS,Sephadex LH-20,and RP-HPLC. The structures of the isolated compounds were identified on the basis of physicochemical properties and spectroscopic data analysis,as well as comparisons with the data reported in the literature. Sixteen compounds were isolated from the 90% ethanol extract of the fruiting bodies of T. sanguinea, which were identified as( 22 E)-5α,8α-epidioxy-24-methyl-cholesta-6,9( 11),22-trien-3β-ol( 1),( 22 E)-5α,8α-epidioxyergosta-6,22-dien-3β-ol( 2),cerevisterol( 3),ergosta-7-ene-3β,5α,6β-triol( 4),( 22 E)-6β-methoxyergosta-7,22-diene-3β,5α-diol( 5),ergosta-7-en-3β-ol( 6),4-hydroxy-methylincisterol( 7),2-pyrrolidone( 8),nicotinamide( 9),1-( 3-indolyl)-3-dihydroxypropan-1-one( 10),yangambin( 11),linoleic acid( 12),( 9 Z,12 Z,15 Z)-2,3-dihydroxypropyl octadeca-trienoate( 13),( 9 Z,12 Z)-2,3-dihydroxypropyl-octadeca-dienoate( 14),crypticin B( 15)and 3-phenyllactic acid( 16). All compounds were isolated from T. sanguinea for the first time. Except for compounds 6,9 and 12,the remained compounds were isolated from the genus Tremella for the first time.

RESUMEN

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To assess the efficacy and safety of Gastrosis No.1 compound in the treatment of functional dyspepsia with Spleen (Pi) and Stomach (Wei) deficiency-cold syndrome.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was performed in 5 centers. Patients with functional dyspepsia (FD) of Spleen-deficiency and qi-stagnation syndrome (162 cases) were randomly assigned to groups given Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) Gastrosis No.1 compound or placebo in a 2:1 ratio. This trial included a 4-week treatment period and a 4-week follow-up period. The outcomes were the dyspepsia symptom scores (measured by total dyspepsia symptom scale and single dyspepsia symptom scale) and syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine score (measured by traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scale). The outcomes were noted at weeks 0, 4 and 8.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>Compared with patients in the placebo group, patients in the CHM group showed significant improvement in the dyspepsia symptom scores as rated by patients and investigators (P <0.01), and also showed improvement in syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine score (P <0.01). No serious adverse event was reported. Safety tests obtained after 4 weeks of treatment showed no abnormal values.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>CHM Gastrosis No.1 compound was effective and safe in the treatment of functional dyspepsia with Spleen and Stomach deficiency-cold syndrome.</p>

RESUMEN

ObjectiveTo study the efficacy and safety of early endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP) and endoscopic sphincterotomy (EST) for patients with acute biliary pancreatitis.Methods420 patients who were admitted to our hospital for management of acute biliary pancreatitis were divided into early endoscopic therapy group (n=218 patients) and conservative therapy group (n=202 patients). The durations for complete disappearance of abdominal pain, decrease in serum and urine amylase levels to normal, liver function recovery time, white blood cell recovery time, and the mean duration and costs of hospitalizations were analyzed.ResultsIn the ERCP group, all patients received EST.The stones in 172 patients with choledocholithiasis were removed with dormia baskets or balloon catheters. In 20 patients with severe acute biliary pancreatitis, endoscopic pancreatic duct stents were inserted for drainage. The durations of complete disappearance of abdominal pain, decrease of serum and urine amylase values to normal, white blood cell recovery time, liver function recovery time, cost of hospitalization and duration of hospitalization were significantly shorter in the early ERCP group than the control group. The mortalities in the ERCP and the control groups were 8.0% and 22.2%,respectively.Conclusions Early endoscopic management for patients with acute biliary pancreatitis was not only safe and efficacious, but the management helped to identify the underlying causes of pancreatitis and reduced the duration of hospital stay and expenses.
