RESUMEN

Stature is one of the important criteria to individual recognition. And it is always a focus in forensic anthropology. There are some new progresses studies in stature estimation in recent years. We review some studies in stature estimation published in domestic and foreign in the past six years, and find some progresses in stature estimation: (1) As the increasing average human stature, the stature estimation equation is needed to be corrected; (2) Gender, age, race and territory have a great influence to stature estimation. Thus when the study protocol designed, these influences should be considered; (3)The medical imaging technology, especially Computed Tomography, is becoming a new tool to infer stature estimation in forensic anthropology.

RESUMEN

Objective To investigate the expression of the cytosolic phospholipase A2(c-PLA2),interleukin-1 beta(IL-1?),tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase-1(TMP-1) in rat brain after injury. Methods The model of traumatic brain injury originally described by Feeney was employed. The mRNA was analyzed by RT-PCR.Results The mRNA of cytosolic phospholipase A2 was increased at 2 hour and its peak was at 7 day.At 14 day,the level of cytosolic phosphalipase A2 mRNA was still in high level as compared to the control group.Likely, the enhancement expression of interleukin-1? was seen at the 1 hour and the peak time was from 5 to 8 hour.At 72 hour,it decreased to normal level. The expression of inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase-1 was increased at the 2 hour, and the highest expression level was seen during 48 to72 hour.It came down to normal level at 14 day after injury. Conclusion The augment of the expression of the cytosolic phospholipase A2,interleukin-1? and tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase-1 following traumatic brain injury suggested that they participated in the pathogenesis of the traumatic brain injury, and may played roles in this pathophysiological process.

RESUMEN

Heart fatty-acid-binding protein(H-FABP) is small molecular weight cytosolic protein that is abundant in the heart and has tissue specificity. Concentration of H-FABP changes regulation in serum after the myocardial damage. In addition it has a positive correlation with the degree of myocardial damage. It is an early diagnostic biochemical marker of acute myocardial ischemia. The advance of H-FABP in the research on physiochemical nature, and its application for myocardial injury and prospective study of sudden cardiac death in forensic science were reviews.

RESUMEN

Objective To study the relationship between GSR and firing distance, and to discuss whether the relationship can be used to estimate the firing distance. MethodsShotting porkets with "5.4" hand gun at the firing distance of 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 120cm respectively, then observing the distributing and element of GSR with SEM/EDX and finally building the equation of regression. ResultsThe relationship between the quantity of GSR and firing distance is linear and the equation is built. When the firing distance is from 10 to 90cm, the result is preferably. ConclusionWe can estimate the "5.4"hand gun firing distance through testing GSR around gunshot wounds.

RESUMEN

Objective To explore the temporal expressions of TIMP-1 and their relationship with injury time during electric injuris of hearts of rats. Methods Immunohistorichemical and image-analysis techniques were employed in 220V-electric injury of hearts during different time.ResultsWeak expression of TIMP-1 are deteced at 0.5h after electric injury, which increased subsequently, and peaked at 24~72h post-injury.Then decreased to pre-injury level at 12d.Conclusion The time-dependent expression of TIMP-1 during electric injury may be used for the estimation of injury time.
