RESUMEN

Anti-motion artifact is one of the most important properties of ambulatory ECG monitoring equipment. At present, there is a lack of standardized means to test the performance of anti-motion artifact. ECG simulator and special conductive leather are used to build the simulator, it is used to simulate human skin, to generate ECG signal input for the ECG monitoring equipment attached to it. The mechanical arm and fixed support are used to build a motion simulation system to fix the conductive leather. The mechanical arm is programmed to simulate various motion states of the human body, so that the ECG monitoring equipment can produce corresponding motion artifacts. The collected ECG signals are read wirelessly, observed, analyzed and compared, and the anti-motion artifact performance of ECG monitoring equipment is evaluated. The test results show that by artificially creating the small difference between the two groups of ambulatory ECG monitoring equipment, the system can accurately test the interference signals introduced under the conditions of controlled movement such as tension and torsion, and compare the advantages and disadvantages. The research shows that the test system can provide convenient and accurate verification means for the research of optimizing anti-motion interference.

RESUMEN

Sleep posture recognition is the core index of diagnosis and treatment of positional sleep apnea syndrome. In order to detect body postures noninvasively, we developed a portable approach for sleep posture recognition using BCG signals with their morphological difference. A type of piezo-electric polymer film sensor was applied to the mattress to acquire BCG, the discrete wavelet transform with cubic B-spline was used to extract characteristic parameters and a naive Bayes learning phase was adapted to predict body postures. Eleven healthy subjects participated in the sleep simulation experiments. The results indicate that the mean error obtained from heart rates was 0.04±1.3 beats/min (±1.96 SD). The final recognition accuracy of four basic sleep postures exceeded 97%, and the average value was 97.9%. This measuring system is comfortable and accurate, which can be streamlined for daily sleep monitoring application.

RESUMEN

According to the characteristics of low cost, high performance, high integration and long battery life of wearable medical devices, the mainstream low-power microcontroller(MCU) series were compared, and came to the conclusion that the MCU series based on ARM Cortex-M0+ architecture were suitable for the development of wearable medical devices. In aspects of power consumption, operational performance, integrated peripherals and cost, the MCU series based on Cortex-M0+ architecture of primary semiconductor companies were compared, aimed at providing the guides of MCU selection for wearable medical devices.

RESUMEN

Objective:To develop a method for the determination of natural benzoic acid in Mesona chinensis Benth. with different production places and storage time. Methods:HPLC was adopted, the column was an Agilent ZORBAX SB-C18 (250 mm × 4. 6 mm, 5 μm) column, the mobile phase was methanol-0. 02 mol·L-1 ammonium acetate (5∶95) at the flow rate of 1. 0 ml·min-1 , the col-umn temperature was 35℃, the detection wavelength was 230 nm, and the injection vocume was 10μl. Results:Benzoic acid showed good linearity over the concentration range of 0. 1-10. 0 μg·ml-1(r=0. 999 9). The average recovery was 99. 59%(RSD=1. 57%, n=9). Natural benzoic acid in powered Mesona chinensis Benth. was different because of various production places. The maximum content of natural benzoic acid in Mesona chinensis Benth. was 141. 8 mg·kg-1, while the minimum content was 73. 8 mg·kg-1. The content of natural benzoic acid in Mesona chinensis Benth. stored for two years was declined obviously. Conclusion: The method with simple operation is accurate and reproducible. It can provide a basis for the further study of Mesona chinensis Benth. resources, and provide a reference for the content determination of natural benzoic acid in other plants.

RESUMEN

@#Objective To investigate the influence of postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) to clinical outcome in adult patients and the risk factor. Methods 122 patients after operation on chest were surveyed with Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Revised China (WAIS-RC) within 3 d before operation and on the 7th day after operation. Their pulmonary functions were measured before discharged. Their time on bed, total time in hospital, time after operation in hospital, time in intensive care unit and spending for therapy were investigated. Results 45 patients were finally diagnosed as POCD (POCD group) 7 d after operation. Before operation, the age, the body weight index, the smoking index and the number of risk factor of angiosclerosis in the POCD group were all higher than those whose cognitive function were normal (normal group) (P<0.05). The sores of insight, count, digit scope, vocabulary, figure collocation, figure patch of WAIS-RC in POCD group were obviously lower than those in normal group (P<0.05). Every index of pulmonary function in POCD group was lower than those in normal group(P<0.05). The time keeping on bed, total time in hospital, time after operation in hospital, time in intensive care unit and spending for therapy in POCD group all exceeded those in normal group (P<0.05).Conclusion The adult patients with POCD may spend more time and money for therapy in hospital, and their pulmonary functions may be recovered poorly.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the influence of fewer courses and prolonged intervals of chemotherapy on survival rate of advanced non small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients treated by sequential chemo-radiation therapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). METHODS: From Jan. 2000 to Dec. 2001, 54 untreated advanced NSCLC patients (2 stage IIIa, 18 stage IIIb, 34 stage IV) were treated by sequential chemo-radiation therapy combined with TCM. The courses of chemotherapy were reduced and the intervals of chemotherapy were longer than that of the standard regimen. The efficacy and survival rate were documented and the prognostic factors were analyzed. RESULTS: Complete remission (CR) was observed in 1 case and partial remission (PR) in 20 cases. The overall objective response rate was 40.4%. Median survival was 15.3 months, 1-, 2- and 3-year survival rate were 53.7%, 28.9% and 9.6% respectively. The median survival of stage III and IV were 21.8 months and 12.5 months respectively. The 1-, 2-, and 3-year survival rates of stage III were 65.0%, 49.5%, 24.7% and that of stage IV were 47.0%, 23.3%, 0%, respectively. The quality of life was improved in most of the patients. Cox's proportional hazards regression showed that improved quality of life and treatment of TCM were the significant prognostic factors of overall survival. CONCLUSION: Chemotherapy and radiotherapy combined with TCM is beneficial to extending the interval of chemotherapy, improving the quality of life, and increasing the survival rate of advanced NSCLC patients.
