RESUMEN

This study includes 160 patients suffering from mild or severe pregnancy induced hypertension. Half of patients have received the ordinary lines of treatment of P.I.H., while the other half received this treatment in additional to Solcoseryl injection. It has been found that the patients who have received Solcoseryl therapy had a significant increase in the foetal movements, increased foetal biparietal diameter, and gave births to babies who had a higher birth weight and a higher apgar score [1 min and 5 min] than those who did not receive it

RESUMEN

The pre-nursing serum prolactin levels were determine in two groups of lactating and menstruating mothers, six months after delivery, and fitted with Cu T-200 IUD and Progestasert intrauterine system immediately postpartum. No significant differences in the premenstrual and menstrual mean +/- SE prolactin values were noted in comparison with matched group not using any form of contraception. A uniform rise in prolactin levels was observed with the onset of menses in the three categories studied, but this was only significant in the Prgestasert group. Serum prolactin levels in lactating and amenorrheic mothers, two months after delivery did not reveal significant changes when Cu T-200 and Progestasert IUD users were compared
