RESUMEN
Purification of antitoxic serum was applied by precipitation and separation of antitoxin globulins by ammonium sulfate, alcohol, sodium sulfate, ether and sodium sulphite methods. Using electrophoretic analysis, it was proved that precipitation of antitoxin globulin with sodium sulphite was the best one. The serum was free from albumin and alpha globulin. The preparation appeared to be similar to the control antitetanic serum [pepsin digested serum] used for human therapy

A total of 584 apparently normal milk samples were collected from 145 dairy buffalos from apparently healthy quarters. The incidence of subclinical cases, the relation between microbiological isolation and the most reliable field test for diagnosis, as well as the sensitivity of the causative microorganisms were studies. Applied field tests were Schalm, Frieso, modified white and Negretti. The most predominant microorganisms were staphylococci and streptococci, yeasts and moulds were also isolated
