RESUMEN
In this study, stapled hemorrhoidectomy was performed on 16 patients with 2nd, 3rd and 4th degree hemorrhoids with an operative time of 26.5 minutes, hospital stay of 2.7 days and sick leave of 7.69 days. A marked reduction in the postoperative pain was noticed with a faster return to work and an absence of painful perianal wounds. This device is expensive, hence the procedure is costly and cannot be applied to all patients
