RESUMEN

Objective:To analyze the current situation of the course of Pharmaceutical Analysis in the education and training of undergraduate students, explore the teaching reform and innovation to better accommodate the pharmacy education in the new era and build an advanced mode for training pharmaceutical talents with interdisciplinary expertise that meet the requirements and needs of job market. Methods:The first stage was to investigate the suggestions and needs of teaching reform; the second stage was to carry out the exploration and practice of the course reform; the third stage was to evaluate the teaching effect.Results:The demand survey showed that the teaching content, course design, and teaching methods of the Pharmaceutical Analysis need to be further optimized and expanded. Conclusion:By adjusting the teaching content, expanding teaching methods, innovating diversified teaching practices, and integrating the "curriculum ideology and politics" into the construction, the course reform has stimulated students' interest in learning and innovative spirit, strengthened their theoretical literacy and practical ability, and cultivated their international vision and lofty professional ethics.

RESUMEN

Aim To screen the mechanism of Yiqi- Bushen-Tiaozhi formula ( YBTF) in treating non-alcoholic steatohepatitis ( NASH) by network pharmacology analysis and to verify it by animal experiments. Methods TCMSP database and HPLC-MS analysis were used to mine the active ingredients and targets of YBTF; GSE89632 dataset was used to screen the differential expressed genes ( DEGs) between the normal and the NASH groups; GeneCards and DisGeNET databases were used to screen NASH-related disease genes. The intersection genes of the three are the target genes of YBTF treatment of NASH. The intersection gene of the three sets of genes was the target gene of YBTF in treating NASH. GO, KEGG, DO enrichment analysis, protein-protein interaction network, and network topology analysis were used to identify the hub genes of YBTF in the treatment of NASH. Molecular docking was used to judge whether cmcial target genes, active ingredients could be combined and exer ted a curative effect; Oil red 0 and HE staining were used to determine whether YBTF could treat NASH mice; (3-galactosidase ( SA- (3-Gal) test was used to determine whether NASH mice had hepatocyte senescence and whether YBTF improved senescence; West-ern blot. Quantitative Real-time PGR ( qRT-PCR) combined with sequencing results were used to verify whether YBTF could regulate the expression of the essential target genes screened from the protein and RNA levels. Results YBTF could improve cellular aging and treat NASH through CDKN1A. Conclusion The rational application of Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) network pharmacology and experiments can provide new ideas and directions for studying the mechanism of YBTF.

Objective @#To estimate the risk threshold of route index(RI)and mosq-ovitrap index(MOI)based on Breteau index(BI),as supplements for dengue fever risk monitoring in specific habitats. @*Methods @#Two towns and two streets were selected from nine towns(streets)in Jiashan County,and then one village(community)was selected from each of them as a Aedes albopictus monitoring site. The BI,RI and MOI were employed at the same time and area from April to October in the year 2018. Linear regression models were built with RI,MOI and BI to calculate the dengue risk threshold of RI and MOI according to BI. @*Results @#The linear regression model of BI(X)and RI(Y)was Y=0.145+0.662X(P<0.05),of BI(X)and MOI(Y)was Y=3.423+0.524X(P<0.05). If BI=5(having risk of transmission of dengue fever),then RI=3.455(95%CI:1.717-5.198),MOI=6.043(95%CI:-0.327-12.417). If BI=10(having risk of outbreak),then RI=6.765(95%CI:5.018-8.518),MOI=8.663(95%CI:2.260-15.071). If BI=20(having risk of epidemic),then RI=13.385(95%CI:11.326-15.453),MOI=13.903(95%CI:6.352-21.461).@*Conclusion @#The dengue fever risk threshold of RI estimated by BI had a narrow 95%CI and could be applied for dengue fever risk assessment,while the risk threshold of MOI had a wide 95%CI and the application value needed further study.

RESUMEN

Aim To explore the effects of miR-7 on astrocyte activation and the underlying mechanisms. Methods Following isolation and culturing, astro-cytes extracted from rat cortex were treated with culture solution (control group), ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF, an agonist of astrocyte activation), miR-7 mimic+CNTF, miR-7 mimic control+CNTF, miR-7 inhibitor+CNTF and miR-7 inhibitor control+CNTF, respectively. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was used to detect the mRNA ex-pression of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) and epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR). The protein expression of GFAP, EGFR, signal transducers and activators of transcription 3(STAT3) and phosphoryla-ted STAT3 (p-STAT3) was measured using Western blot. Wild type pGL3-EGFR and mutant pGL3-EGFR-m recombinant plasmids were constructed and then co-transfected with miR-7 mimic into HEK293T cells,re-spectively. The luciferase activity of reporter gene was measured. In addition,astrocytes were treated with ei-ther EGFR siRNA or S31-201 (an inhibitor of STAT3),followed by the incubation with miR-7 inhib-itor and CNTF. Both qRT-PCR and Western blot were subsequently used to detect the mRNA and protein lev-els of GFAP. Results The expression levels of GFAP and EGFR as well as p-STAT3/STAT3 ratio in CNTF group were higher than those in control group (P <0.01). When compared with CNTF group,GFAP and EGFR levels and p-STAT3/STAT3 ratio significantly decreased in miR-7 mimic+CNTF group but increased in miR-7 inhibitor+CNTF group(P<0.01). In com-parison with control group, transfection with miR-7 mimic markedly reduced the luciferase activity of wild type EGFR (P <0.01). Moreover, miR-7 inhibitor-induced up-regulation of GFAP expression was almost completely reversed by either EGFR siRNA or S31-201 pretreatment (P<0.01). Conclusion miR-7 antag-onizes the activation of astrocytes from rats by inhibi-ting the EGFR/STAT3 signaling pathway.

<p><b>BACKGROUND</b>Although bronchoscopy has been widely performed in China, little has been known about its current state and development. In order to investigate the clinical application of bronchoscopy and make instructions for future education and development, the Chinese Society of Respiratory Diseases conducted postal surveys in both 2008 and 2010 in China.</p><p><b>METHOD</b>Questionnaires were sent to 40 tertiary grade A hospitals in 2008 and 58 tertiary grade A hospitals in 2010 to investigate bronchoscopies performed in 2007 and 2009 respectively.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>Thirty (75%) hospitals returned the completed questionnaires in 2008 and forty-one (71%) hospitals in 2010. All the respondents possessed flexible bronchoscopes. Fifty percent of the respondents had less than five in 2007, while more than 50% of the respondents had 5-9 bronchoscopes in 2009. All the respondents performed a radiograph or CT scan before bronchoscopy. Percentage of general anesthesia and no pre-medication before bronchoscopy increased, while atropine usage decreased in 2009 compared to 2007. During bronchoscopy, pulse oximetry was the most widely used monitoring method. Most respondents used the nasal route to perform routine bronchoscopy. After the procedure, they used sinks to wash and glutaraldehyde to disinfect the bronchoscopes. The total number of flexible bronchoscopies performed during 2007 was 37 874 and the average was 1262. Whereas in 2009, the total number was 60 178 and the average was 1468. Diagnostic bronchoscopy was more widely used than therapeutic bronchoscopy. The mortality rate was 0.076‰ in 2007 and 0.032‰ in 2009.</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>The two surveys, to some extent, reflected the current status and development of bronchoscopy in China. The results are worthy of future education and developing of new guidelines. Regular surveys and monitoring of bronchoscopies across China are needed.</p>

RESUMEN

Phyllodes tumor is a rare breast tumor. A 45-year-old woman who underwent left mastectomy 12 years ago was found to have infiltrates in both lungs in a health examination. Combining histological examinations of the lung and breast samples, the diagnosis of borderline phyllodes tumor metastases to the lung was made. It is the longest interval to our knowledge that the metastases occurred 12 years after primary phyllodes tumor.

RESUMEN

SCID mouse-human leukemia model is an important and useful tool for study on proliferation, differentiation and modulation of leukemic cells. In this article, the establishment of the model, advances in research and application in studies of pathogenesis, cell biology, clinical diagnosis, therapy and assessment of prognosis of leukemia patients are reviewed. The limitations of the model are also commented.
