RESUMEN
360 nursery child aged 3-4 years - 175 males [70 breast fed and 105bottle fed] and 185 females [66 breast fed and 199 bottle fed]. Maxillary intercanine width was measured and the data was analyized according to sex and feeding pattern. The result indicated that there is no significant difference in relation sex. But there is a statistical significant difference the maxillary intercanine arch width in relation to feeding pattern

Nursing caries was investigated among 1733 3 - 4years old children. The prevalence was 4.56%. It was 5.8% and 2.87 among children of low and high income families respectively. The nursing Background and life style of nursing caries children was compared with that of a group of caries free children. The results showed that nursing caries prevalence was much lower among breast fed children children compared with that of bottle fed children. Prolonged nursing time, increased frequency of nursing and Nocturnal nursing were more common among children with nursing caries than caries free children

The effect of zinc and copper ions on the gingival tissues were studied histologically. White rate were let to drink water contained zinc sulphate or copper sulphate each of 25, 50 and 100 ppm. Histological examinations of gingivial tissues revealed that zinc and copper sulphates at 100 ppm only, increased epithelial thickness, elongate rete pegs and affect lamina propria. Lower concentration, of each element caused no histologic change in rat gingival tissues
