RESUMEN
O objetivo deste artigo foi realizar um estudo pré-experimental com a Entrevista Motivacional em grupo para o tratamento da Compulsão Alimentar Periódica. A amostra foi constituída de 30 mulheres, com idade média de 34,73 anos e IMC médio de 37,30 kg/m². Durante seis encontros, 14 mulheres obesas com Compulsão Alimentar Periódica foram avaliadas com a Escala da Compulsão Alimentar Periódica, Inventário de Depressão de Beck e Inventário de Ansiedade de Beck para analisar os níveis de Compulsão Alimentar Periódica, ansiedade e depressão antes e depois da intervenção. Os resultados mostraram que as três escalas apresentaram diferenças significativas ao nível de significância de 5% no antes e depois da intervenção com o uso do Teste T para amostra pareada. Conclui-se que a Entrevista Motivacional pode ser uma boa intervenção terapêutica no tratamento da Compulsão Alimentar Periódica
The goal of this paper was to develop a pre-experimental study using group motivational interviewing for the treatment of Binge Eating Disorder. The sample consists of 30 women, aged 34,73 on average, and with an average BMI of 37,30 Kg/m². During six meetings, 14 obese women with Binge Eating Disorder were assessed with the Binge Eating Scale, the Beck Depression Inventory and the Beck Anxiety Inventory in order to analyze the levels of Binge Eating Disorder, anxiety and depression before and after the intervention. The results showed that the three scales presented significant differences in significance level of 5% before and after the intervention using the Paired T-test. The paper concludes that motivational interviewing may be a good therapeutic intervention for the treatment of Binge Eating Disorder
