RESUMEN
Three novel series of naphthalene derivatives, namely, N-aralkyl or aryl-N-[2-hydroxynaphthalen-1-yl] thioureas [IIIa-e], 2-substituted aminoaphth [1, 2-d] oxazoles [IVa-e], and 1-arylthiocarbamoyl-4- [2- hydroxynaphthalen-1-yl] thiosemicarbazides [IXa-e] have been synthesized. The products were evaluated for antibacterial and antifungal activities. The phenyl and p-chlorophenylthiourea IIIb and IIIc and thiocarbamoylthiosemicarbazide IXa and IXc derivatives were the most active compounds against S. aureus
