RESUMEN
We make a preliminar report with the experience at The Hospital Universitario de la Samaritana in the area of the bone transportation with diferent external fixation devices. We treated 9 patients, 7 with segmental loses of the tibial shaft, one case on the femur, and one case in wich we performed a knee arthrodesisfor a vicious position ankilosed articualtion, and the was elongeted the arthrodesis callus. We obtained in all cases but one the salvatage of the extremity. The regeneration and consolidation time of the segment were too long and we hand multiple complications. But in an amputation risk the procurede ist doubtiessa variable solution for a severe and frecuent patology

Se presentan 35 casos de pseudoartrosis infectadas, tratadas por medio de injertos libres expuestos al aire, con éxito en el 80 por ciento de los casos; se describe la técnica en forma somera y se plantea una hipótesis de los procesos celulares que llevan al éxito del procedimeinto, mediante biopsias tomadas en la primera, segunda, tercera, cuarta y octava semanas después del acto operatorio
