RESUMEN

Isaacs syndrome (IS) is a rare condition which is characterized by peripheral nerve hyperexcitability which is due to continuous motor activity. The exact etiology for this condition is unknown yet there are several etiopathologies like autoimmune, genetic, or hereditary which can be an etiology for the IS. In our case report the likely etiology is autoimmune. Its clinical feature includes fasciculation, myokymia, and hyperhidrosis. To confirm the diagnosis mostly imaging methods of examination are performed like MRI, ultrasound, and EMG. In our patient MRI and EMG examination was performed. There are no particular therapeutic treatments that can help in this condition only symptomatic treatment can be delivered. Plasma exchange has a promising outcome for a momentary. In our case report, we propose the possible etiology of the condition.

RESUMEN

A variety of complications came to light after the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic of 2020. One such post-covid complication that manifests itself in the form of a hyperinflammatory syndrome in the pediatric population is multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C). It results in severe inflammation of a variety of organ systems, including the heart, lungs, brain, kidneys, gastrointestinal system, skin, and eyes. Surprisingly, clinicians can easily mistake this type of presentation for many other diseases due to overlapping features, especially Kawasaki disease (KD). An interesting case report on a patient admitted to the Grodno regional infectious diseases clinical hospital, Grodno, Belarus. The patient was initially diagnosed with enteroviral infection (EVI) at the time of admission. The clinicians in charge observed the underlying cause to be masked by Kawasaki-like presentation, how they diagnosed MIS-C, Kawasaki-like phenotype: exanthema, cheilitis, scleritis, infectious cardiopathy, gastrointestinal syndrome, coagulopathy and managed this patient is described in this scientific paper. Although the presenting signs and symptoms of MIS-C overlap with other diseases, certain additional features can be helpful in differentiation. Mainly MIS-C is present in a relatively older subgroup along with gastrointestinal symptoms that are uncommon for KD. The patient was treated with IVIG and steroids after which he attained full recovery. MIS-C associated with COVID-19 is serious, rare, and potentially fatal. Clinicians, primary care physicians, and emergency department pediatricians must be quick to recognize it and treat it at the earliest by deploying immunomodulatory strategies to subdue systemic injury caused by hyper-inflammation.

RESUMEN

Having accurate and ample data on rains is the sole golden input for deciding ultimate success of any progressive efforts towards natural resource management. Ultimate conquest of any pertinent schemes on developing and managing watersheds, canals, commands, irrigation net-works, soil-erosion, soil-conservation, drylands, forests, pastures, livestock, land use changes and many ecology-based errands; is entirely governs by the precision, relevancy and quality of rainfall data. Even the ending success of present days smart hydrologic models, modelling entirely remains regulated by the precision & relevance of rainfall data used therein. Most commonly available rain data happens to be daily rain values. However, for precise planning at microscale, we need to have its finer sub-daily temporal distribution. Rainfall disaggregation is a newly emerging applied option where utilities of advanced stochastic architecture is utilized across the globe to offer desired location specific and even rainy day specific best possible temporal disaggregated outcomes. Present paper offers some of the crisped outcomes from a detailed study performed in Gujarat. The predictive ability of one of the most popular BLRP model in this regard is shared by incorporating its basic architecture followed by its predictive performances on randomised sample rainy days covering 6 explicit locations in middle Gujarat region of western India. Preliminary findings reported herein will serve as a food for thought for smarter ways of managing water, land, watersheds and ecology. The BLRP model for rainfall disaggregation has the potential to improve the accuracy of rainfall estimates, facilitate efficient water management, improve hydrological modeling, facilitate climate change analysis, and be cost-effective.

RESUMEN

Foreign bodies related to urogenital tract represent a relatively rare pathology and are most commonly found in the urinary bladder. Foreign body of the urinary bladder may occur by migration from surrounding organs or by self-insertion via urethra. Vesicovaginal fistula (VVF) is commonly caused by obstructed labor, gynecological surgeries, occasionally due to malignancy, but rarely by the foreign body; in most cases being ring pessaries. A 25-year-old female presented in our clinic with urinary incontinence and irritative lower urinary tract symptoms. Radiological investigation revealed intravesical foreign body (wooden abortion stick) with VVF. It was removed via suprapubic cystostomy and fistula managed conservatively.
